gift registry that supports local small business??

any ideas? i wonder if there is some kind of site which links you to local small business types for shower registries etc...my mom would scoff and tell me to just use target..and i probably will for convenience ..leave the small business support to when i am personally shopping ...

you can make a custom registry on this site: https://www.alternativegiftregistry.org/.  I did it for my wedding and it worked ok...not as streamlined as a store registry since you can't fulfill the gifts directly through the registry, but it gives people an idea of what you want and where to get it (online or in a store).  Also, when people pick a gift to buy, they can check it off so other people won't get you one, although they can pick a gift and then forget to buy/send it (happened to me once or twice).
