Ladies,
I don't get on here much since my pregnancy so I am sorry to be just dropping a question out of the seemingly blue but I really could use some advice. My DS was BFE for the first 12 months and since his 1st B-day I have been trying to wean down to night feedings only (and then hopefully totally wean) with the introduction of cows milk only problem is he will not drink it. (I have also tried Goats Milk same issue) Any suggestions on how to trick your LO into drinking cows milk? I am no longer pumping and with DS at daycare I worry about his nutrition since he is not consuming nearly the amount of milk that he use too. I am still nursing in am and pm and whenever he wants on days when we are together.
Thank you so much for the advice.
Re: BM to Cows Milk Help
Edit: basically I'm saying keep offering and he will probably learn to like it. If not just make sure he's eating enough yogurt and cheese.
It's even harder for me to get her to drink milk. My doc insisted that kids will like cow's milk if you just give them time to get used to it. But I have had no luck. She likes almond milk though.
If you find something she likes and you really want her to have cow's milk...try mixing the two. Ie. half cow's milk and half almond milk. Something that sweetens it up but is still healthy.
