My ILs brought McDonald's breakfast over for everyone this morning, AND a dozen french crullers from Dunkin Donuts. They didn't eat any donuts and left the entire dozen here. I'm feeling an enormous amount of pressure to eat them before they get stale. Not good for my diet that is supposed to be starting tomorrow!!
Also, I have to AW both of the girls. We have been running like crazy for the past week, every day, and naps and meals have been all over the place. Both of them have kept it together so well, no meltdowns at all! It wasn't until today that DD1 started getting a little cranky with all of the stimulation.
I promised her that tomorrow we'd spend the entire day in pjs, playing with her new birthday toys and watching movies, while DH goes back to work and school. I have to admit, I'm really looking forward to having nothing to do!

Eat them all today. Problem solved. You're welcome.

Yeah - gotta eat those donuts so they don't go to waste!
We've had some pretty warm weather here this week. I kept telling DH that DD wouldn't take her afternoon nap if I didn't turn on the a/c because it was just too muggy in the house. I don't know if it was coincidence or not, but she napped on the days we ran the a/c. Well....today I ran the a/c and she didn't nap. No one tell DH - DD is my best excuse to run the a/c. (We try to be frugal, but we run it if we need to.)
Also, DH is working tonight, and then will be leaving later in the week for a trip. FX that I make it through without going crazy.
Also, my BFFs (all THREE of them, plus a baby) are coming to visit at the end of the month. It will be CRAZY in our house with so many people and babies, but I'M SO EXCITED!!!
Random: We forgot to put our trash can up at the curb for pick up last week. So now we have two weeks of trash build up that includes birthday trash AND Labor Day cookout trash. Ugh.
Vent: The last two nights I've been SO HOT I can't sleep. Like laying on top of the covers naked with the AC on full-blast and still sweating. 25 is too early for hot flashes, right?
AW: We were at a playground last week and after I told E he couldn't go on the big kid slide (this huge metal contraption that even I would be scared to climb), he said "I big, Mama!!"
Confession: Yesterday, thanks to a party and spending the whole day with family (ie doting grandparents), E consumed a combination of the following: potato chips, hot dogs, a brownie, pizza, ice cream... Yikes.

Long weekends make me happy that I work full time. I am sitting at my desk, zoning out, and enjoying the relative quiet. DD learned how to shriek at the top of her lungs this weekend. Awesome.
DD1 also started that this weekend. Not a fan. Not at all.

I'm excited for you! Girlfriend time is so great, we recently got together with my BFF and her two kids for the first time in a long time. It was so great to spend some time with her and catch up!
Random - Saturday was my 30th birthday. We haven't celebrated yet. This Saturday promises to be amazing. Jay has planned an entire day WITH hotel accommodations and overnight child care. Sweet sleep!!
Vent - I just switched back to CDs after a Costco box of Huggies. My HE washer left them stinky after two separate washes. Jay is happy. I am not.
AW - Otis calls himself Odie. Like, ask him his name and he will tell you, "Odie!" My parents are buying us a new microwave for my birthday. How cool is that? This comes after Jay spent all of Saturday completely repairing our dishwasher. It works like a dream.
Confession - My nanny kid is going off to full day preschool. I am so farking excited!! Perfect timing since DD will be here soon!! I am not even sad.
