tell me why your LO is awesome

Anyone want an excuse to brag? I do! And Iike hearing other stories, too.

Today we went to Toys R Us to return something and select a new toy. I did the returning while DH took DS around in the shopping cart. We gave DS the choice of two toys, and he calmly made his choice and we paid and left. When we got back to the car, I realized we'd been through an entire store without any whining or meltdowns or begging -- that doesn't happen all the time, but it did today!

Also, he's been eating his dinner lately which is a big deal for us. He's actually eating protein that isn't dairy, peanut butter, Chickfila, or In N Out. It's a MIRACLE. Maybe it's because he finally has molars coming through and he can chew it more easily?

  • Awesome! We have yet to leave a store without begging and screaming "MICKEY!!!"

Sophia's humorous personality is really coming through. She's just a goof ball (not sure where she gets it from). She's also so damn pretty. I know that's shallow but I can't help it. I'm just in aw of her beauty.

It wasn't the norm. I don't think he saw the Jake and the Neverland Pirates toys or the Cars toys - those are usually what get him worked up.

And I agree with you - she is really pretty!

  • He's so cute and hilarious. He uses the word "disgusting" to describe everything. Ex: he and Liam were playing traveling. Liam says, "jack, wait here while I put the code into the condo and we can ride the elevator up." And Jack says, "oh, wow. That sounds disgusting." We also found out last night that he's a party animal. We went to a wedding and he danced, ran around, got the attention of the little girls dancing. If was too cute

  • @Rachey1082 - Does he say "that's disgusting" a lot in public? And how do people react? I'm just imagining hearing a toddler say it, and everyone turning quickly to look and see what he's talking about.

  • E has been cooking me things on his new kitchen and grill all day. Everything is "yumm, Mama!" Maybe I have a future chef on my hands?

Anytime we go outside, we have to check the sky for airplanes, which he calls "zoom-zoom"s. Crazy cute.

And when I'm having the crappiest of days, he'll jump up on my lap, grab my face with both hands and plant a big wet one on me. Love my little love bug :x

  • While G drives me nuts he is pretty freaking awesome also.  I love when he gives hugs (he always pats your back) so cute!  Also right now his big thing is to say "come on" and when daddy is being slow and G yells "Come on Daddy"  I love it!  He is also into dancing to everything right now it is funny and cute.  Now that I am babysitting and can see how needy kids can be he really isn't that bad.  He plays awesome by himself compared to her.  One more....when it is bed time we have to say Nite Nite to the dog and cat.  (our dogs name is Buster and Cat is Miss Kitty) so he says "Nite, Nite Boster and Nite nite Kitty" so stinking cute!

He does! People usually laugh and ask how old he is. You can't take him seriously because of his tone and little toddler voice. It's really funny.

  • I haven't posted on here in forever but here goes.  :)  DD has really been into Veggie Tales lately so when we saw a display at the store she freaked out! She ran back and forth in the little cubby that had all the book, videos and toys. When we asked her if she was ready to go she said "Um...no. I still looking". When she was done she said "Ok. Bye Larry, bye Bob. Bye guys!" Also when I'm having a bad day she crawls into my lap, gets right in my face and says "Mommy sad? I wuvs you, Mommy. All better!"

  • M is finally in the language explosion phase and it is hilarious.  While we couldn't convince her to say "I'm two" this weekend, she did add both "poop" and "Home Depot" to her vocabulary.  She cracks me up!

DD2 always says "Bye Bye park" when we leave the park. I love it!

If I'm being honest though, I'm pretty much in awe of everything my kids do. Every hug and kiss? Makes me proud. She gets paint all over herself while doing crafts? Makes me proud. Extra stinky diaper? Makes me proud.

I love all of these stories <3 This really is a cute age (minus the exorcist style tantrums we are experiencing........).

Brooklyn is SO sweet. She compliments me all the time. Lol! 'Momma, you're beautiful'. "Momma, your shirt pretty'. 'Momma, your hair is nice'. I think she might have been listening over the last two years every time I complimented her. Funny story.. I was getting ready for date night and Brooklyn was in the bathroom with me. She walks into my closet and says 'momma, you wear this dress' while tugging on a dress. I tried to tell her I was up for wearing the outfit I had on. She replied 'momma, shirt off. Dress on'. Once I changed my outfit she said 'wow, your pretty' and then proceeded to pick out shoes for me to wear. The best part? It all matched. Lol! When DH got home he was wondering why I was so dressed up. Another reason my kid is awesome is that she loves to accessorize. Each morning she picks out a hair accessory, a necklace, and sometimes a watch or bracelet. I love going through my jewelry box with her and playing dress up <3

I promise I am not vain!

  • These are hilarious! Max is OBSESSED with dinosaurs right now and knows so many of their names. When he goes to sleep I hear him saying "t Rex sleeping. Brachiosaurus sleeping. Spinosaurus sleeping. Stracheymollet sleeping." He knows a few more I can't even try to spell lol. He's a smarty pants!
