AW my 2 year old!

It's Monica's birthday today! I can't believe she is 2. This is seriously hitting me way harder than when she turned 1, I have no idea why. But we are having an awesome day. We just finished the basement this week, so last night, DH set up her new slide and her 500+ lot of Legos that he bought for her on ebay.

When she woke up today, I said, Monica, today is your birthday! And she got this huge smile and replied, "Cake!" And I said, yes, ma'am, and we all had cake for breakfast. Then we took her into the basement for presents, and she was just so happy, it was such a great morning. My mom and brother came over for lunch to visit, and now she is taking a much needed nap.

Tomorrow MIL is staying here with the baby so DH and I can take M to the aquarium. The kid LOVES fish, and it will be her first time there. I'm so excited!! Then Saturday we are having a small party with immediate family (grandparents, my siblings). We'll have pizza and cake and go swimming.

I just can't believe how big she is getting. Does anyone else feel like year 2 has gone by so much faster than year 1???
