The ol gut start to shrink? I know it takes time of course, but it looks like I'm 5 months along! Im only 9 days pp. I hate feeling so self conscious about it. I can't exercise because I had a c section so I know it won't go down any faster. Breastfeeding should help but when should I see an actual real difference? This belly I have is pretty big still! Anyone else feeling this way?
Re: When does...
When you've been married this long, you need a ticker to remind you.

Expecting Baby Bean February 2017
Everyone is different. I EBF and run 3-4 times per week with some core and strength training thrown in there.
It just takes time. Being ex-pregnant fat is one of my least favorite things ever. I feel so uncomfortable in my body.
I don't run w the babies yet. Generally you should wait til your LO is at least 5 or 6 mo w good head control and even then I'd stick to smooth paved trails. You're not supposed to run w the baby in the infant carrier using the infant seat attachment but i know a decent amount of people who've done that.
Once they're old enough, running w a jogger is tough stuff. Adds at least 30-45 sec onto your mile time. We have a BOB and I LOVE it.
I gained 40lbs and last I checked I had 5.5lbs to go. I'm 4.5 weeks pp.
Ps: I was a little overweight so didn't need to gain much.
That's just what I've heard, I make no claims about its accuracy, lol.
Edit: I was referring purely to stomach skin, not fundal height
I am also EBFing and my body likes to hold onto some extra weight while nursing no matter how much I exercised and ate healthy by body wouldn't let go of the last 5 lbs after DS. Not everyone magically loses the weight due to BFing and I'm one of the lucky one who doesn't! But I start working with my trainer on Sat so I'm excited to start toning up more than focusing on the lbs.
I don't even come close to fitting into pretty much any of my pre-pregnancy clothes. But I was a size 2-4 and most of my clothes are pretty form-fitting, so they really don't have much give.
With my first, I dieted and worked out as soon as I was given the go-ahead... and I still didn't get back to "normal" until 9 months post-partum. It was so frustrating hearing other people say they were back in their clothes a month later.
My advice: Try not to get discouraged, and just let your body go back the way it's supposed to. Sure, eat healthy and exercise to help it along, but sometimes it just takes time. :-)
I have so far lost about 27 pounds, but I gained about 45 so I still have 18 to go. I am so mad at myself for gaining so much. I was doing great until 3rd tri and then the weight started piling on.

The initial ute contracting back down took a few weeks, and then it was just flab.
And you had a c section didn't you? I wonder if it takes longer for everything to kinda go back to normal because of a c section recovery..
My mother kept telling me that it wasn't my fault that I wasn't back in shape 1 week PP because I had a c section though.
