I've heard spicy can aggravate morning sickness, acid reflux, etc. Anyone
not able to remove the "spice from your life"? I still have to have my spicy
tastes and haven't reduced them at all. Bring
on the volcano tacos and curry noodles!!
Loving the spicy food!! Just this weekend we made glorious spicy wings. I couldn't stop, my mouth was on fire, my lips numb... but lets just say, its as spicy in the end as it was in the beginning! LOL It sure causes issues, but I love it so much!
I just could not give up my spicy food, but yes it leads to heartburn. I found if I drink milk after the spicy food it helps with the heartburn. I had a grilled spicy tuna roll for dinner tonight (one of my fav food finds during pregnancy), yum!
My biggest craving is acidic and slightly spicy (nothing more than a medium) food. I could eat chicken pad thai for lunch everyday! Luckily my heartburn died when the first trimester ended, but I know it will be back like it was with DS in the final months.

With my first, everything caused acid reflux, so I figured I might as well enjoy the food I was eating anyways, so I lived on jalapenos. This pregnancy I haven't been craving hot stuff nearly as much. Just keep your tums handy
I want chili so bad! But the heat index is in the 100's this week and I think it would make me miserable. I can't wait for fall, I'm going to be a potato soup and chili making fool! I will never give up my spicy food!
I normally cant do spicy, but while pregnant I CRAVE buffalo wings & blue cheese to no end! SO weird because normally Pace Salsa is a bit spicy to me lol my husband is SO confused with this craving, but loving that I finally eat spicy foods! He's hoping this baby will enjoy spicy food too
In a house of home made Mexican food it's mostly spicy. I love it but It kills my stomach. About the only kind of chiles I can eat are jalapeños. Which sucks at meal time. I feel so bad because I can't eat some of what has been cooked. But the other women are more understanding(: and I hardly get heartburn so if I do I just drink milk.
I've always loved spicy foods and that hasn'tchanged. I do try to put a little less hot sauce now though..just because I really feel the burning consequences a few hours later now.
It's strange how my taste buds work... Before pregnancy I couldn't eat one bit of spicy food without chocking XD now when my mother in law made her spicy curry I couldn't stop eating it! I love being pregnant lol finally eating things I couldn't before!

I can't put the spicy food down because I love it too much. I do happen to regret it some when the heartburn and acid reflex arrives but not enough to stop eating it. It doesn't help that my husband is half Hispanic either. There is always Tabasco sauce in our apartment.
