Baby moans after crying it out then falls asleep

We are sleep training our soon to be 6 month old.. He will cry it out frantically sometimes and then when we go in to do our check and comfort he lays there and makes moaning sounds and then falls asleep.. He just began to start babbling so I'm wondering if this is due to him wanting to just make noises or do you think he's in some kind of pain or distress from crying it out? We don't let him cry long maybe 5 mins..

    My DS doesn't cry when put to bed but his "new thing" is making those same sounds as he closes his eyes and fall asleep. He's been doing it since Sunday and I think it's so funny, he's not hurt or distressed. Just a new baby thing .. :)

    He talks and moans himself to sleep every night! haha He doesn't let me give him paci anymore. He has to play with it and do it himself .. But hey, I'm not complaining!
