~~~ TTCAL Newbie Checkin ~~~
edited August 2013 in TTC After a Loss
Welcome to TTC After Loss. I'm so sorry for your loss but am happy you have found us. ((hugs)) This board is full of brilliant and kind women who have experienced the hardship of losing that which is most precious, and I hope you find great comfort and support here in your journey to your rainbow baby.
For those of you so new you don't know the routine, this is a checkin for newer members of the TTCAL Board. My board name is gscoville, but you can just call me G or GS if you prefer something shorter. Please feel free to use this space to ask those "newbie" questions that feel intimidating to ask on the main board, I will try my best to get you an answer.
Please take the time to read the TTCAL blog to answer any questions you may have regarding our board etiquette, TTC, miscarriages & loss, and much more: https://www.ttcalblog.blogspot.com/ If you are a checkin regular and get a BFP, please PM me so that I can add it to the weekly checkin with a warning for other members.
Finally, if you haven't done so, please post your introduction on the main board including your story.
For everyone else: How are you doing? Any news besides what I've asked about here? Please, if you missed last week’s checkin so don’t have an update here to reply to, post an update and let me know how things are going for you.
Updates from last week:
carlsonbaby2014:  Have you had that positive OPK yet?  It sounds like you’re being so patient waiting for it, way to go!
gingerkid9989:  Did you get AF and start charting this weekend?  Let us know if you have any questions.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
rmpar29:  I’m so sorry AF came after that longer than normal LP ((hugs))
MollySm:  Way to stick with the temping, your chart looks good so far as you wait for O!
chknma:  Your chart looks good so far, even with jagged temps you have a clear shift post-O!
mmnumber5:  How are you doing this week, has your on-and-off AF petered out yet?
kalynn12:  Hopefully you don’t have to wait too long for the results of your bloodwork, and I’m sorry it’s not covered, that’s frustrating.
shandorfml:  Yay for a temp shift and CH’s, finally!! ((hugs))
HeyMrsPotter:  I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying that kitchen!  Sorry for that BFN this morning, FX it’s just too early ((hugs))
meladoriestar:  Do you have your HSG scheduled?  Did you already go to that Mumford concert, if so how was it?
lingchow8655:  Way to stick with that temping, you’ll get really excited once you see that first set of crosshairs!
HoldingOutHope:  I’m sorry you’re benched for a few months, but it sounds like your new OB has a good path laid out for you and I’m glad you’re feeling confident in her, that counts for so much!
Quote of the week:
Question of the week:  If you won the chance to renovate any room in your house with no spending limit, which room would you change and how?
I would add on to my bedroom, make it huge with a sitting area, fireplace, huge walkin closet, and ensuite with a large jetted tub.  Right now my bedroom is tiny with no ensuite and a tiny closet, all of the above sounds positively dreamy! ;)
    Hey GS!!  How are you??  I did start AF Sunday night and started charting Monday morning.  But I've already had a hiccup because I got up at 7:15am on Monday and then 6am today.  I know you are supposed to chart at the same time.  I know since I am on AF now that it's not that important, I just really want the chart to be right so I can try and time my BD more successfully this cycle.
    QOTW:  I would probably do like you and add on to my bedroom.  I would get me a beautiful new king sized bed, a HUGE TV and one of those awesomely large walk in showers that spray from every direction!!  :P  A girl can dream!!  Oh and I think I would add a sky light.
    Hope you have a good week!
    Hello all!!   I joined the board last week and would LOVE to be added to this check-in!  Here is a little about me:  **WARNING: Toddler mentioned**
    DH and I have been dating for 7 yrs and married for 3 yrs.  About 4 yrs ago now we were surprised and elated about a BFP.  We were late in our scheduling of our 1st appt and discovered a missed m/c at our first ultrasound (I was 13w along - baby stopped growing at about 9w).  I had a D&C in July of 2009.  Shortly after we got married we decided to start TTC.  We were so excited to get our 2nd BFP in Oct of 2010.  After a nerve wracking pregnancy, and an emergency c-section, DS was born 6/11/11.  We decided to start trying to expand our family in Feb and got our 3rd BFP in June.  We had a successful ultrasound and 1st appt with our Dr.  About a week later I knew something was off, at my 2nd ultrasound we discovered our 2nd angel had grown wings at 9w.  I had another d&c July 24th, 2013.  My OB knew our struggles with multiple losses and although I wasn't considered a repeat case they decided to run chromosomal testing this time.  Everything came back completely normal.  So as of now DH and I are just emotionally healing and moving through our journey!
    I am so sorry for all of your losses and hope your stay on this board is short but I look forward to getting to know all of you! Thank you @gscoville for running this check-in!!
    gscoville, Happy Tuesday, and thanks for the check-in!
    Courtney1741, welcome. I'm very sorry for your loss.
    @gingerkid9989, Congrats on getting started with charting! I'm still new to charting and having some trouble with consistent timing too. But, it is getting easier as it becomes more a part of my routine. GL!
    QOTW: We have a large den/guest room that would make a perfect master if only there was a bathroom. It's spacious with vaulted ceilings and a skylight, but there's no bathroom on that floor of the house. So I'd renovate that room with a great walk-in closet and en suite bathroom. Then, if we do ever have kids, our current master would become a play room.
    I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying that kitchen!  Sorry for that BFN this morning, FX it’s just too early ((hugs))
    Thanks! Last night I stained our new entryway door. Just a few finishing touches before it's all done. I posted the following on the November check-in this morning, and I have no other news to report now, so here it is again: I'm currently at 11 dpo, and my typical LP is 10 or 11 days.  So, I will test again tomorrow but I suspect that if I don't see AF first, it would still be several more days before testing would show anything.  ****PREVIOUS PREGNANCY MENTIONED****   (I suspect this because the only other time I was pregnant, I didn't get a + until 15 dpo. But I think my HcG might have always been low with that LO. If I was lucky enough to get a BFP this time, and if it took that same length of time, I would have the same worry again. ETA: I'll cross that bridge later if I'm fortunate enough to be able to get there.)
    Hi!  I'm a newbie, I did an intro this weekend, but below is my story:
    DH and I have been married for almost 5 years.  After TTC for 2 years and 2 cycles of IUI, our DS was born in January of 2012.  We really never prevented after he was born (I have endo, so we didn't want to wait in case it took a long time again), and in June we got our second BFP.  We were thrilled and shocked that we got pregnant without fertility treatments.  Our first appointment went great and we saw and heard the heartbeat.  At our next appointment (I should have been 10 weeks), we found out that the baby no longer had a heartbeat and measured 8w2d.  I had a D&C 2 days later on 7/31 and just this weekend AF returned.  We're doing better, but still hurting.
    QOTW:  Probably our master.  We've only been in this house for about 6 months, but we just haven't done anything with the master yet.  We totally still have our mismatched Ikea furniture from our single days, so I'd love to get some matching "grown up" furniture finally!
    Hope everyone has a great week!
    I love the PIP, GS :).  I love what you would do to your bedroom - sounds so cozy, you'd never want to leave haha!
    carlsonbaby2014:  Have you had that positive OPK yet?  It sounds like you’re being so patient waiting for it, way to go!
    Good news - definitely got a STRONG +OPK yesterday AM.  Hooray!!  I also had got a + one the day before, so I'm hoping all the BD'ing we've been doing will pay off ;).  I'm staying focused on just trying to enjoy where we are at.
    Question of the week:  If you won the chance to renovate any room in your house with no spending limit, which room would you change and how?
    Our living room!  We have huge vaulted ceilings in that room which makes it a little difficult to decorate, IMO.  We also have crappy furniture from when we first got married and I'd love all new stuff.  *sigh* Ahh to dream is a beautiful thing :)
    Hey G!  Yes, it was a rough end to the week once AF showed up, but I took my time to deal and am now in a better frame of mind.  I guess I just can't count on anything when it comes to my cycle!  It's just so hard to read that your LP never ever changes and not think good thoughts when AF is late.  I guess the doctors don't factor us in when they make those claims!   ;)  So, here I am, just charting and waiting for FW.
    QOTW - My master bathroom (if you can call it that)!!  It's basically a closet with enough room for a tub, sink and toilet.  It's so small and it's always a mess because I have NO ROOM!  I have big plans for it when we win the lottery!  :))
    I like your plans too!
    gingerkid9989 - From what I've read, and the advice I've gotten on here, the time of the day isn't as important as taking it after you've waken up from your longest sleep (at least 3 hours).  I test anywhere from 2-6 AM depending on when I wake up for the first time.
    Courtney1741eristin82 - Welcome to the checkin!
    HeyMrsPotter - Keeping my FX for a BFP!!!  My LP for my last cycle went from 11-15, so I know what you are going through right now.
    carlsonbaby2014 - FX crossed for you!
    meladoriestar - Good luck with your HSG.  I've never had one, so I don't have any advice!
    1) I'm new this week, just posted an intro Sunday night. I'm currently waiting for the spotting from the m/c to stop. My m/c started last Tuesday evening, so hopefully things will be ending soon. I'm tired of the constant reminder. I'm home early from work today so I boxed up the ultrasound photos, along with the letters I had started to write, and cried the whole time. It's been a crappy afternoon overall.
    2) I would absolutely redecorate our living room. It's a room we haven't really touched yet decor wise, so there isn't much to change. We need a new couch, another chair, a new rug (I'm tired of the current one) and some art for the walls. With an unlimited budget I would do some damage at Pottery Barn for sure.
    Hi Gs! I am a newbie to ttcal and would love to be added to the check-in. I posted an official intro a week ago but here's the gist. *Warning toddler mentioned*
    We have been married for 4 years this week! We got pregnant with ds a year after we got married. Ds is now 2. We started trying in June and got a bfp right away. At a 10 week appt I had an u/s that showed no heartbeat. I had a d&c last monday. I am still having some light bleeding and still have emotional outbursts. I am easily distracted though because I got a new job last week.
    We just bought a new house this month and we are in love but I would totally change the rugs in the living room and my ds' room.
    Hope you ladies have a good week!
    DH and I have been married 6 years. He is 32 and I am 30. I became pregnant for the first time in April of this year. At 8 weeks we learned I was expecting identical mo-di twins. At 12 weeks I had bleeding that lasted for 4 weeks. They started seeing a difference in fluid levels and slight growth discord at 12 weeks. At 16 weeks we learned that the umbilical cord on A was not located in the ideal location and was possibly not providing enough nutrition. At 18w4d the growth discord had widened and they diagnosed A with severe SIUGR. At 19w5d the SIUGR had progressed and we were given 0% hope for A and told B would only have a chance if we did a selective termination. At 19w6d we saw the specialist who deals only with SIUGR and TTS and decided to move forward with a laser photocoagulation surgery to give A a chance to fight and protect B if A should not make it. At 20w1d during the pre-op ultrasound we learned that both A and B had died over the weekend of complications from the SIUGR. I had an D&E preformed the next day. That was one week ago today. We hope to start trying again in 2 months and are hoping and dreaming of a more normal pregnancy with 3 ultrasounds instead of 17.
    If I could re-do any room it would have to be the kitchen. Would love new counter tops, flooring, backsplash, appliances...pretty much everything!
    Hope everyone has a good week!
    Hey Gs.  How has your week been?
    I am doing well.  We are just having lots of sex and waiting for O.  I think I will buy some OPKs next cycle if we have no luck this cycle.  Having EWCM for such a long time is throwing me off, and H is getting tired.  I O'd on CD 19 last cycle, so we're just going to keep it up through this weekend unless something happens sooner.
    As for room in my house, that's a tough one.  I'd love a large, gorgeous kitchen, but the bedroom suite you are describing sounds amazing!
    Hey GS!!  How are you??  I did start AF Sunday night and started charting Monday morning.  But I've already had a hiccup because I got up at 7:15am on Monday and then 6am today.  I know you are supposed to chart at the same time.  I know since I am on AF now that it's not that important, I just really want the chart to be right so I can try and time my BD more successfully this cycle.
    QOTW:  I would probably do like you and add on to my bedroom.  I would get me a beautiful new king sized bed, a HUGE TV and one of those awesomely large walk in showers that spray from every direction!!  :P  A girl can dream!!  Oh and I think I would add a sky light.
    Hope you have a good week!
    Temping at the same time every day is ideal, but don't get too caught up in thinking you've failed if your time changes a bit from day to day. As long as you've had three solid hours of sleep, it shouldn't matter if there's a bit of a time variation. I am actually a terrible insomniac, I wake at all hours and have trouble getting back to sleep, so my temping routine has become to temp the first time I wake up whenever that is as it's when I'm most likely to actually get three hours of sleep. That could be anywhere from 1:00 to 5:00 am, depending on my night. My temps are a bit jagged, but I still can see a clear temp shift every cycle.
    Hello all!!   I joined the board last week and would LOVE to be added to this check-in!  Here is a little about me:  **WARNING: Toddler mentioned**
    DH and I have been dating for 7 yrs and married for 3 yrs.  About 4 yrs ago now we were surprised and elated about a BFP.  We were late in our scheduling of our 1st appt and discovered a missed m/c at our first ultrasound (I was 13w along - baby stopped growing at about 9w).  I had a D&C in July of 2009.  Shortly after we got married we decided to start TTC.  We were so excited to get our 2nd BFP in Oct of 2010.  After a nerve wracking pregnancy, and an emergency c-section, DS was born 6/11/11.  We decided to start trying to expand our family in Feb and got our 3rd BFP in June.  We had a successful ultrasound and 1st appt with our Dr.  About a week later I knew something was off, at my 2nd ultrasound we discovered our 2nd angel had grown wings at 9w.  I had another d&c July 24th, 2013.  My OB knew our struggles with multiple losses and although I wasn't considered a repeat case they decided to run chromosomal testing this time.  Everything came back completely normal.  So as of now DH and I are just emotionally healing and moving through our journey!
    I am so sorry for all of your losses and hope your stay on this board is short but I look forward to getting to know all of you! Thank you @gscoville for running this check-in!!
    Welcome to the checkin ((hugs))
    gscoville, Happy Tuesday, and thanks for the check-in!
    Courtney1741, welcome. I'm very sorry for your loss.
    @gingerkid9989, Congrats on getting started with charting! I'm still new to charting and having some trouble with consistent timing too. But, it is getting easier as it becomes more a part of my routine. GL!
    QOTW: We have a large den/guest room that would make a perfect master if only there was a bathroom. It's spacious with vaulted ceilings and a skylight, but there's no bathroom on that floor of the house. So I'd renovate that room with a great walk-in closet and en suite bathroom. Then, if we do ever have kids, our current master would become a play room.
    I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying that kitchen!  Sorry for that BFN this morning, FX it’s just too early ((hugs))
    Thanks! Last night I stained our new entryway door. Just a few finishing touches before it's all done. I posted the following on the November check-in this morning, and I have no other news to report now, so here it is again: I'm currently at 11 dpo, and my typical LP is 10 or 11 days.  So, I will test again tomorrow but I suspect that if I don't see AF first, it would still be several more days before testing would show anything.  ****PREVIOUS PREGNANCY MENTIONED****   (I suspect this because the only other time I was pregnant, I didn't get a + until 15 dpo. But I think my HcG might have always been low with that LO. If I was lucky enough to get a BFP this time, and if it took that same length of time, I would have the same worry again. ETA: I'll cross that bridge later if I'm fortunate enough to be able to get there.)
    You know my fingers are crossed for you!
    Hi Everyone!
    I introed a few weeks ago, but haven't posted on the newbie check-in until now.  I've been active on the Feb Angels check-in, though.  Will you have me?
    My story:  My angel had an EDD of 2/11/13.  At my first appointment, 9 weeks, my MW thought that my uterus felt too small (she couldn't feel it well).  An ultrasound showed that baby was only measuring 6 weeks, with no heartbeat.  Dropping HCGs confirmed that I would miscarry.  After waiting almost 2 weeks to miscarry on my own, I had a D&C on 7/25/13.
    I *think* I had my first period 2 weeks after my D&C (one MW thinks I did, the other's not sure).  My MWs are still tracking my betas down to <5.  Two weeks ago I was at 19.  Fingers crossed that my beta from Monday is <5.  We are currently TTC (OKed by my MWs).
    Hey there! My HSG scan is set for this Friday. I'm feeling pretty nervous, both about the pain and what they might find. Hopefully it goes well. The Mumford concert is September 11. I'm SO excited. It's DH's birthday present to me. It's in a park downtown, so he rented a hotel walking distance to the park so we don't have to deal with parking or driving and we can both get drunk lol. He hates them with a passion so it's a very sweet gift. (My bday is Sep 1). QOTW: probably the bedroom. I would LOVE a big four-poster bed and another dresser and pretty blue-gray walls and lots of wrought-iron decor. And make the master tub a big giant tub.
    For your HSG, I'm sure use already been advised of this, but make sure to take ibuprofen an hour or so before the procedure. I found it very painful for just a quick bit of time, but it was short lived and mostly just a tad uncomfortable like a pap. Awesome that your DH has made your birthday gift so wonderful for you even then he doesn't like the act!
    Hi!  I'm a newbie, I did an intro this weekend, but below is my story:
    DH and I have been married for almost 5 years.  After TTC for 2 years and 2 cycles of IUI, our DS was born in January of 2012.  We really never prevented after he was born (I have endo, so we didn't want to wait in case it took a long time again), and in June we got our second BFP.  We were thrilled and shocked that we got pregnant without fertility treatments.  Our first appointment went great and we saw and heard the heartbeat.  At our next appointment (I should have been 10 weeks), we found out that the baby no longer had a heartbeat and measured 8w2d.  I had a D&C 2 days later on 7/31 and just this weekend AF returned.  We're doing better, but still hurting.
    QOTW:  Probably our master.  We've only been in this house for about 6 months, but we just haven't done anything with the master yet.  We totally still have our mismatched Ikea furniture from our single days, so I'd love to get some matching "grown up" furniture finally!
    Hope everyone has a great week!
    Welcome to the checkin ((hugs))
    I love the PIP, GS :).  I love what you would do to your bedroom - sounds so cozy, you'd never want to leave haha!
    carlsonbaby2014:  Have you had that positive OPK yet?  It sounds like you’re being so patient waiting for it, way to go!
    Good news - definitely got a STRONG +OPK yesterday AM.  Hooray!!  I also had got a + one the day before, so I'm hoping all the BD'ing we've been doing will pay off ;).  I'm staying focused on just trying to enjoy where we are at.
    Question of the week:  If you won the chance to renovate any room in your house with no spending limit, which room would you change and how?
    Our living room!  We have huge vaulted ceilings in that room which makes it a little difficult to decorate, IMO.  We also have crappy furniture from when we first got married and I'd love all new stuff.  *sigh* Ahh to dream is a beautiful thing :)
    Yay for strong positive OPKs, those can be such a treat! I used to always get them before my loss, but have for some reason found definite positives a little more elusive since. I'm glad you're focusing on enjoying things too. :)
    @gscoville - Happy Tuesday! Sorry I Missed last weeks check in, it was a stressful week for me.
    @gingerkid9989 - sorry about AF coming, but good luck temping
    @Courtney1741 - Sorry for your loss, but welcome to the check in. This group has been so supportive of me (I intro'd about 2 months ago now) and are definitely willing and able to answer any questions you have.
    @HeyMrsPotter - FX that AF stays away!
    @meladoriestar - (((Hugs))) hope the HSG goes well. And the concert sounds like fun!
    @eristin72 - Sorry about your loss, but welcome to the check in!
    @carlsonbaby2014 - YAY for a +OPK!! Hopefully that BDing will do the trick!
    For me, its been a stressful few weeks. My family was down at the beginning of last week for 2 days and with my sisters and her whole family that is stressful. Then I got an ulcer in my eye, and have been on antibiotics and steroids ever since. DH and my BDing timing was HORRIBLE this month, and then with the antibiotics and stuff I am 99% sure we are out for the month, but here I am CD28 and 11DPO and am having so many imaginary symptoms I want to go insane. I am hoping the long weekend will bring on some stress relief for me.
    QOTW: i would probably re-do our bedroom. It's oddly shaped and things just don't fit in it well, its huge, but because of the shape DH actually keeps his clothes in the spare bedroom because a dresser would have to be right in the middle of the room. I'd live 2 large walk in closets and a huge attached bathroom with big bath tub!
    I'm sorry to hear you've had such a rough and stressful month, and hope you get some stress relief soon! ((Hugs))
    Hey G!  Yes, it was a rough end to the week once AF showed up, but I took my time to deal and am now in a better frame of mind.  I guess I just can't count on anything when it comes to my cycle!  It's just so hard to read that your LP never ever changes and not think good thoughts when AF is late.  I guess the doctors don't factor us in when they make those claims!   ;)  So, here I am, just charting and waiting for FW.
    QOTW - My master bathroom (if you can call it that)!!  It's basically a closet with enough room for a tub, sink and toilet.  It's so small and it's always a mess because I have NO ROOM!  I have big plans for it when we win the lottery!  :))
    I like your plans too!
    gingerkid9989 - From what I've read, and the advice I've gotten on here, the time of the day isn't as important as taking it after you've waken up from your longest sleep (at least 3 hours).  I test anywhere from 2-6 AM depending on when I wake up for the first time.
    Courtney1741eristin82 - Welcome to the checkin!
    HeyMrsPotter - Keeping my FX for a BFP!!!  My LP for my last cycle went from 11-15, so I know what you are going through right now.
    carlsonbaby2014 - FX crossed for you!
    meladoriestar - Good luck with your HSG.  I've never had one, so I don't have any advice!
    Yeah, that LP thing can be such a sucker punch. Before my loss I had really short cycles with early O, LP never more than 11 days. Since my loss my cycles and LP have lengthened considerably, although the LP was a sudden change one cycle which threw me completely, convinced I was KU when I got to 16 DPO before AF showed. Not nice, body! ((Big hugs)) for having to deal with that roller coaster ride.
    gscoville - as always thanks for the check-in! Hope your day is going great! I have been doing OPK's on top of temping (both wondfo's and digitals to back up what im seeing to make sure positive) and as far as they are telling me, i should be ovulating any time now. I really was thinking yesterday but no change in temp! :-/ Making me a little crazy because im like ok now...but i had another positive OPK yesterday so who knows, maybe im really ovulating today. Or maybe because i cant consistently temp at the same time every day ( i work night shifts and get up at different times in day), i wont see as good of a shift...:-? Regardless, thanks for all the encouraging words though!!! It really helps.
    As for what room i'd want to change if given unlimited money/resources to do it - i would say my kitchen. I looooooooove kitchens!!! I would really go to town making it gourmet!! :x
    Courtney1741 - just wanted to say welcome to this thread and to the TTCAL board in general. I'm very sorry for your loss. Hope your stay here is short and sweet and you get your rainbow baby soon!!
    gingerkid9989 -  See your starting to temp. I totally understand what you mean about trying to be consistent with the timing, i too have that same trouble. Hope you find a grove though and master it as i know you will!
    HeyMrsPotter - Very sorry for the BFN but hoping its just early and  crossing all my toes and fingers that when you again its good news!
    meladoriestar -  Wishing you the best of luck with your HSG scan on Friday, my t&ps are with you. Let us know how it goes!! Also, thats so nice of your DH present wise! Especially since he hates them!! Hope you guys have fun when the time finally comes for you guys to see them
    carlsonbaby2014 - So happy to hear you've had a positive OPK and hope all your BD'ing works too! I too had a positive OPK yesterday and the night before so im hoping for good news too! Sending you big hugs and lots of luck!!
    eristin82 - Very sorry for your loss. Welcome to the December check in and the TTCAL board. Its a great group of ladies and i hope your able to find as much comfort as i have! I notice you said your having trouble with your feb badge showing. Its showing now so if your still having trouble, no worries!!!
    My first few cycles charting I had three days of +OPKs, with temping only confirming O the day after my last positive. I seem to remember FF saying somewhere that you can get your O surge within 12-36 hours after your final +OPK, so keep temping and I bet you'll see that temp spike soon!
    1) I'm new this week, just posted an intro Sunday night. I'm currently waiting for the spotting from the m/c to stop. My m/c started last Tuesday evening, so hopefully things will be ending soon. I'm tired of the constant reminder. I'm home early from work today so I boxed up the ultrasound photos, along with the letters I had started to write, and cried the whole time. It's been a crappy afternoon overall.
    2) I would absolutely redecorate our living room. It's a room we haven't really touched yet decor wise, so there isn't much to change. We need a new couch, another chair, a new rug (I'm tired of the current one) and some art for the walls. With an unlimited budget I would do some damage at Pottery Barn for sure.
    Welcome to the checkin ((hugs))
    Hi Gs! I am a newbie to ttcal and would love to be added to the check-in. I posted an official intro a week ago but here's the gist. *Warning toddler mentioned*
    We have been married for 4 years this week! We got pregnant with ds a year after we got married. Ds is now 2. We started trying in June and got a bfp right away. At a 10 week appt I had an u/s that showed no heartbeat. I had a d&c last monday. I am still having some light bleeding and still have emotional outbursts. I am easily distracted though because I got a new job last week.
    We just bought a new house this month and we are in love but I would totally change the rugs in the living room and my ds' room.
    Hope you ladies have a good week!
    Welcome to the checkin ((hugs))
    Hi Gs! I am a also a newbie to ttcal and would love to be added to the check-in. I posted an official intro last week but here is my story. **warning loss mentioned**
    DH and I have been married 6 years. He is 32 and I am 30. I became pregnant for the first time in April of this year. At 8 weeks we learned I was expecting identical mo-di twins. At 12 weeks I had bleeding that lasted for 4 weeks. They started seeing a difference in fluid levels and slight growth discord at 12 weeks. At 16 weeks we learned that the umbilical cord on A was not located in the ideal location and was possibly not providing enough nutrition. At 18w4d the growth discord had widened and they diagnosed A with severe SIUGR. At 19w5d the SIUGR had progressed and we were given 0% hope for A and told B would only have a chance if we did a selective termination. At 19w6d we saw the specialist who deals only with SIUGR and TTS and decided to move forward with a laser photocoagulation surgery to give A a chance to fight and protect B if A should not make it. At 20w1d during the pre-op ultrasound we learned that both A and B had died over the weekend of complications from the SIUGR. I had an D&E preformed the next day. That was one week ago today. We hope to start trying again in 2 months and are hoping and dreaming of a more normal pregnancy with 3 ultrasounds instead of 17.
    If I could re-do any room it would have to be the kitchen. Would love new counter tops, flooring, backsplash, appliances...pretty much everything!
    Hope everyone has a good week!
    Oh my goodness, I'm so very sorry for all that you've gone through ((hugs))
    Hey Gs.  How has your week been?
    I am doing well.  We are just having lots of sex and waiting for O.  I think I will buy some OPKs next cycle if we have no luck this cycle.  Having EWCM for such a long time is throwing me off, and H is getting tired.  I O'd on CD 19 last cycle, so we're just going to keep it up through this weekend unless something happens sooner.
    As for room in my house, that's a tough one.  I'd love a large, gorgeous kitchen, but the bedroom suite you are describing sounds amazing!
    A couple of my recent cycles I've had a whole week of EWCM, and the last four or five cycles I haven't had the left or right side O pains I've typically had. Honestly, temping and OPKs have been the only things that have given me any clue about when I've O'd, without them I'd be totally in the dark.
    Hi Everyone!
    I introed a few weeks ago, but haven't posted on the newbie check-in until now.  I've been active on the Feb Angels check-in, though.  Will you have me?
    My story:  My angel had an EDD of 2/11/13.  At my first appointment, 9 weeks, my MW thought that my uterus felt too small (she couldn't feel it well).  An ultrasound showed that baby was only measuring 6 weeks, with no heartbeat.  Dropping HCGs confirmed that I would miscarry.  After waiting almost 2 weeks to miscarry on my own, I had a D&C on 7/25/13.
    I *think* I had my first period 2 weeks after my D&C (one MW thinks I did, the other's not sure).  My MWs are still tracking my betas down to <5.  Two weeks ago I was at 19.  Fingers crossed that my beta from Monday is <5.  We are currently TTC (OKed by my MWs).
    It took me over 7 weeks after my loss for my HCG to get to zero and for my first period to arrive, and that last 100 took twice as long as it did to go from 10,000 to 100, so weird and frustrating. FX your wait isn't so long!
