Thanks for the info 2Red! :-) That is good news!!!
Did anyone have bad bloating around week 5-6? I'm not uncomfortable, but my belly is HUGE! It's like a huge water balloon!!! Any one else experience this or have advice?
Hi, ladies! I'm so glad I stopped by this board today, you all are so encouraging.
I'm a FTF and 37 (will be 38) by the time our little one arrives. I've run through about every emotion each day. I'm so excited and amazed by what is happening but am also kind of nervous about the baby being healthy or something going wrong. I have genetic testing blood work and a second ultrasound on Tuesday. FX all goes well. Trying to stay positive and excited.
Congratulations and good luck to all!
I'm 44 and in my 8th week with a major surprise. We've been married five years and were pretty contented with the idea of life without children, so this is taking some adjusting. My due date if all goes well will be three weeks before my 45th birthday. My own mother gave birth to her two children at 36 and 37, and didn't go through menopause until her mid 50s, so they say that is an indication you will be fertile into your 40s but I didn't plan to test it! We are going to be very quiet about it until at least 12 weeks. I feel pretty good - a little bloated and sleepy at times but so far managing the nausea fine by just eating small meals. My husband and I agreed that we do plan to have all the testing we can.
Had my DD at age 36. I am a super healthy person and have exercised my whole life, so I didn't really worry and had a very healthy pregnancy. I did take all the genetic testing offered and was happy when it all turned out alright. DH was 38.
DD is almost 3 now and I we've always adapted her into our life, not our life around her for the most part. The girl has more frequent flier miles than most adults I know. You can still live the life you want with kids in the mix.
I'm 35 and a FTM (I'll still be 35 when LO is born). SO and I have been together for 6 years and about 6 months ago decided to stop using BC. We weren't actively trying - I wasn't charting or anything - we just thought that whatever happens, happens. And here we are.
I had huge bloat during week 5. Like, can't button my pants huge. I'm midway through week 6 and it seems to have gone down. As another plus, the constipation has also come to an end. The morning sickness, however, is raging.
I am pregnant with twins and am 40 years old. My DH will be 46 when they are born. After struggling with unexplained infertility and multiple failed treatments, we feel blessed and are ready as we'll ever be.
