I'm due with my 2nd in January and I am doing a repeat c-section. I do not want to go through what I had to go through with my daughter again and more than likely end up with another unplanned c-section again. I'd rather it be planned and I know what to expect but that's just me. If there wasn't such a high chance of it ended up the same I would probably try for a VBAC.

The worst part of my c-section was recovery and even then it wasn't terrible unless I forgot to take my pain killers.

I'm going to at least try for a VBAC. The only way I will have a c-section is if for some reason the VBAC doesn't work or I have to because of a breech baby, placenta previa, etc.

My recovery was a breeze, and in all honesty, I feel like I had it better than a lot of women with vaginal births in that respect.  I was up moving around the next day and by the next week we were taking family walks, I was driving, pretty much back to normal.

But, I was under general and feel like I missed out on so much.  I know next time I would most likely be awake but I want to labor on my own and just experience a vaginal birth.

Yes, I want to avoid going through 20+ hours of awful labor only to risk still needing a c-section. Recovery was easy compared to my labor experience.
