Its not appropriate to advertise, or solicit birth moms here, but I think many of the posters who do this just have no clue how to begin the adoption process, and need some direction. I know tons of people who apparently read some article about a bunch of families who found birth moms on Facebook, and just assume that's how its done. They always want to know why we are paying to use an agency when Facebook is free. I usually try to take those moments to educate. LOL
Josh and Katie, if you are interested in adoption, welcome to this board. You can learn a lot here. There are FAQs to help answer some of your questions about how to get started. You might want to find some books on domestic adoption, and start researching private adoptions, identified adoptions, agency adoptions, or reputable adoption lawyers and try to figure out which path is right for you. There are also sites like parentprofiles.com that do allow couples to advertise. Good luck in your adoption journey. If you have any adoption related questions or are in need of support, this is the place to come! :-)
Because this group offers support to all members of the adoption triad, soliciting members who may be vulnerable and coming here for help is not ethical. But we welcome any questions that you may have.

HI Rachel, where do you suggest to start learning about adoption? I am curious to learn more about the process. Thanks!
I'm trying really hard not to be snarky, but you ARE on an adoption message board. There are posts galore about how to start learning. I just posted a bunch of FAQ updates with feedback for every one of them. All you have to do is go through a page or 2 of posts, or ask questions.
Re: Young, Loving Couple Looking To Adopt
And I think it's against the TOU.
ETA: I have moderator powers, so sorry Josh and Katie, your ad just went *poof*
