We have always referred to a pacifier as a binky. My kids were not talking yet when they started refusing the pacifier around 6 months, so I'm not sure what they would've called it.

"sha-pone" My grandfather is Hispanic he called it that so that is what my family calls a pacifier. I didn't know it had another name until my first son 13yrs ago! I only speak English
