My husband's family refers to them as nunu's and so I think we will refer to it as that. However, I always refered to them as a binky, so it might be a mixture of the two :-)
My family is from Chile and when I had my first child, I was taught to call his pacifier TeTe with accent marks over the e's. Now with my second child almost here the tradition is continuing. Her pacifiers will be called TeTe's as well. Its funny when I say it in public, people look at me lol.
Well I am not a fan of pacifiers but sometimes they are needed. So in that case we will call his pacifier binky. Which is what Tommy from Rugrats called his. And I also like the name Binky because on the show Arthur, Binky was a friend of Arthur's . He was there when he needed him in good and tough times. That's how I want my baby to view his pacifier, as a friend in need.
We call it a Paci. A friend of ours is trying to come up with a clever name and really likes Syple [Si-ple] (Synthetic nipple)...Whatever our baby girl calls it when she's old enough to talk, that's what we'll use then.

Mine isn't born yet (another few weeks!!), so I'm not sure, but guessing either paci or binky. My mother spent some time in England, so she always calls it a dummy :-)
