    Hi ladies!
Hope everyone is doing well. I just had my ER today. I was a little anxious since it was not under anestheia and I then found out I had to do an intrauterine biopsy right beforehand. It wasn't too bad. Everything went well- quick and I was out and about right afterwards. I don't find out any information until they do another biopsy on me in 6 days. RE was hopeful there was an egg- he said he got a lot of fluid, but he doesn't even know if he got it.
I'm looking at it as a blessing- no stress, nothing to wonder about and I really just want to know whether or not my eggs will be good enough for that DS IUI. As long as they got an egg and can look at it, I'm thrilled.
QOTW: I read too much- it's a good habit and a bad habit. When it comes to schoolwork, I know a lot, but I read too many articles that my papers are always long and cumbersome and take forever to write because I weed through so much information. I try to read lots of studies about IF as well. My RE is always asking me if I found any new studies- not sure it's the reputation that I want.

    Hi ladies!

Sorry I haven't updated in a while, I work for a school and the kids have been returning, it's a bit insane around here.

We have been rescheduled for our consult for 8/27, my RE had to change her vacation plans. It's fine, gives us a bit more time to move some $$ around. I should note, the blasts we are getting were donated, we did not adopt them (from what I understand, adopting embryos is different and has some legal work that goes into it). I just thought I'd note that for the listing.

    Let's see, QOTW:

Bad habit first: I bite my cuticles. It's awful, I know, but its a stress thing.

Good habit: I take very good care of my skin and hair. I am proud of the fact that no one believes that I'm turning 40 in December. And I do enjoy getting that reaction.

Good luck, and best wishes ladies!!
SAIF/PAIF absolutely ALWAYS welcome to respond!

    1. Any news or updates?  Nothing new here-Have a second anatomy scan scheduled for 8/22, first one they were not able to visualize all the arteries and veins leading to the heart.  I guess having a second anatomy scan is not uncommon.  21 weeks tomorrow, times flying by.

    2. QOTW: What is your best habit? What is your worst habit?

These are kind of one in the same.  My best habit is that I'm a dedicated and hard worker.  This can also be my worst habit as I'm a pushover for doing whatever needs to be, no matter the personal cost.  I almost never call in to work, and have to work really hard each day to get breaks so that I have time to eat.  I know that since I'm expecting, I need to try to take care of myself better than I do.  I eat right, just lacking in the rest department and continue to try to minimize lifting patients at work (this has become a very difficult habit to break!).  I often get asked to work overtime, and I'm learning to say no more often.

TTC since 10/09 Me-43 DH-44 RE and testing 10/10-11/10, Recommending IVF 1/11 New RE AMA and DOR-DH low motility IVF #1.1 cancelled 3/11 due to poor response IVF #1.2 May 2011, one perfect 8-cell embryo, 3dt-BFN, IVF #2.1 Converted to IUI d/t poor response. New RE 9/2011. IVF 2.2 completed using HGH,EPP,DHEA, Q-10 and accupuncture. Transferred one 8-cell, grade one embryo on 10/19. BFP 10/31/11 Chemical pregancy on 11/2/11. Started stims for IVF #3, our final try, on 12-2-11. ET on 12/18. Transferred 3 Grade A embryos-BFFN Planning DE IVF, late March/early April- Donors ER expected to be 4/2-4/4. PAIF/SAIF welcome

    1. Any news or updates?  Well since I didn't get AF, I had to get my lining aspirated last week.  It was basically another endometrial biopsy...fortunately it was very quick, but slightly more painful than the endo biopsies I've had in the past (where they just take a tissue sample).  I'm continuing with my meds and will go back for monitoring this Tuesday.  Also, I have an estimated transfer date of 8/23, which is kind of exciting!

    2. QOTW: What is your best habit? What is your worst habit?  I don't know if this classifies as a "habit", but I would say that I'm fiercely loyal to my friends and family.  However, if someone does something to hurt someone I care about, I tend to hold a grudge and don't forgive easily...and even if I eventually forgive, I don't tend to forget.

I hope everyone is having a good week and ((hugs)) to anyone that needs them!

BTW, poohniki....I must say that it's incredible that you went through an ER without any anesthesia...you rock girl!!!

Me: AMA, DOR, undetectable AMH, carrier of SMA, MTHFR homozygous C677T, high cytokines, low IGg B cells, Factor XIII V34l mutation, High Anti-Phosphatidylethanolmine, borderline hypothyroid and mildly insulin resistant.

MH: No known issues, aside from MTHFR.

Recommendations from RI: LIT, Humira, IVIG, Lovenox, Baby Aspirin, Folic Acid, Low-dose synthroid and Metformin.

Currently taking:  Pre-Natal vitamins, Foltanx, Low-dose synthroid and Metformin.

When cycling also taking: Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, Humira and IVIG.

TTC since 7/11/09..with medical intervention starting in 2010, including 4 failed IVF's and 6 failed IUI's...only "success" was a chemical pregnancy in 11/2012 (credited to use of DE).

    FET #1 (11th cycle) on 8/23/13 = BFN.

FET #2 (12th cycle) Transfer of last two (day 6) donor egg blasts on 1/22/14 = BFP, EDD = 10/10/14 (please stick little BOY!)

Good morning! Sending my love to everyone on this board who is waiting for good news or dealing with bad news.

Update on me: Things here are going well. DW and I were crazy and tested with a First Response test on CD 9 and it was negative (duh!). We inseminated at like 9 pm, so technically, I wasn't even 9 DPO until like 9 pm last night. Just for kicks, we tested with an OPK to see what that would say ( I am CD 27). To our surprise, we saw a screaming positive OPK....then another and in total, 5 positive tests (4 different brands). We don't have a clue what this means.

We tested again this morning with OPKs and got another 3 dark positives. We decided not to test with HPT until Wednesday (12 DPO). I have never ovulated that late. Ever.

Why am I confused? Well, my symptoms are more pregnancy/AF feeling than ovulation. I took OPKs on 7 and 8 DPO and they were negative. I have had a ridiculous amount of eggwhite CM since the day after we inseminated and through 6 DPO. Again at 8 DPO. If there is anything I know, it's my CM and this has NEVER happened before. I've been exhausted, which is also unusual for me. I started smelling worms in our filtered water (gross, right?!), low back pain and nausea.

It's confusing and frustrating, but what can you do? To answer this question (which will come up): yes, I am temping, but I am not giving much weight to my temps this month. This month started really crazy and on top of it, I've missed my alarm more than once for temping in the morning!

It's all very intense, but I'm giving it to a higher power because there is literally nothing else we can do to change it. Either I'm pregnant or I'm not and sooner or later, we will find out either way. If we need to try again, we will try again.

I'm just thankful for the all of your support, even in my craziness!

QOTD: Bad habit would probably be that I am really stuck to my pc. I work from home, so I'm on the pc at least 8-12 hours most days. Even though I do get off the pc after work, I am almost always checking my phone or tablet. This needs to stop. I think I am going to buy a book and that will keep me off my devices. It's just so hard when you carry 100 books with you on one device!

Good habits: I'm religious about wearing a bite guard at bedtime, lol. Even when I'm backpacking or sleeping away from my own bed, I wear it.

    :)

TTC our first. Married to, and madly in love with, my beautiful wife. Living with our fur baby and enjoying 19 nieces and nephews.

I am on vacation this week so enjoying not having to deal with work or any of that drama and stress!!!! We bought our crib, mattress, and dresser for the nursery yesterday. We got the crib and dresser for over half off and then had 20% coupons so we saved even more. Pretty exciting to actually be starting all of this and finally feeling more real.

Since my birthday and our anniversary are both this week, DH decided to get us an 3-D ultrasound. He really wants those pictures!  We also will get a video which I am excited to show to our embryo donors. We will also get an early tip off as to the sex. I just want to be able to say "he" or "she" and not have to speak in such general terms.

QOTD: Worst habit--I am a world class procrastinator. I have serious issues focusing if I know I have a lot of time to complete something so I tend to wait until the last minute to get stuff done. I have been this way my entire life so I don't see that changing anytime soon!

Best habit--I am a total research geek. I never make a decision without having necessary research and knowing what I am getting myself into.

Still hanging out.....  Losing patience.  RE appt in Sept to discuss FET.

QOTW:   Worst, I swear like a sailor.  It's so bad.  It's a hard habit to break.  DH and I are reminding each other all the time.  He's trying to quit too.  I think it's the nature of our jobs.
Best, getting up without ever hitting the snooze button.  We share bedrooms at the FD and some people hit that thing 15 times.  Irritating!

Hi everyone! Finally I have happy updates! I have an FET date now - September 12. I have started my Lupron. So far so good! We found out that we have one less embryo than we were originally told (thanks to a severely incompetent donor clinic) but we are happy to have five total. We have decided to transfer two from the new batch because there is a pair frozen to a single straw.

    QOTW:
Bad habit - I hate doing laundry. My house is very clean, but I find that I'll leave my clean laundry in a basket waiting to be folded for days! I wish I would be quicker about folding when they come out of the dryer, but that rarely happens.

Good habit - I am very organized. I can take a giant goal and break it down to bite sized pieces and get pretty much anything done.

    ************ Signature/Ticker Warning ************
Me (32) DH (36) - Finding our way to baby #1
Me: POF/DOR - AMH <0.16, heterozygous c677t MTHFR, insulin resistant and gluten intolerant

12/6/12 - Adopted five embryos that had been frozen for over ten years!

    Hey Ladies!

Hope all is well, lots of great news on here lately!

No real update... Just waiting. I just found 2 road races in September that I'm going to register for. I need to keep my mind focused on something else other than this cycle. I am also trying to loose 5 more lbs before our cycle.

Worst habit: I worry, a lot. I'm actually a lot better than I used to be, but it will always be my nature.

Best habit: I don't feel bad about saying no. I make an effort to do what I can, but if I absolutely know that I don't want to do something and it's really not going to matter in the long run, I just don't do it! This includes overtime at work, plans with others, ect.

If someone needs a favor or something, that's completely different.

    Have a great week!!!

    Me (32) DOR, elevated NK Cells/ 2 copies of MTHFR mutation/ MH (35) azoo/high DFI   (TTC#1 since 2009)

    IVFs#1-4: (4/10-2/12) all BFN

    DS IVF: (11/12) - BFN

    DE/DS IVF#1: (10/13) - 2 day 3 embies transferred-BFFN

    FET of 2 day 6 blasts: (12/13) - c/p

    DE/DS IVF #2: (4/14) - 1 day 5 blast transferred...BFFN...again.

    FET 5/14: 1 day 5 hatching blast transferred...another BFFN

Repeat SHG 6/14-normal / Endometrial Receptivity Array biopsy 7/14-Receptive Uterus

New RE, additional testing reveals elevated NK Cells

FET of 1 day 5 blast (RE recommends transferring 1 due to elevated NK cells) with lovenox, steroids & intralipids in October

liz - sorry about the missing embryo fiasco, I'm sure that was frustrating!

GL to everyone cycling and (((Hugs))) to those that need it.

Our update: this morning we had our 7 week OB scan and there was no heartbeat. I had a scan last week too and there wasn't one either, but they thought maybe it was just a little too early. Now we are just waiting for our doctor to review the report and tell us how to proceed.

QOTW: Bad habit - I feel so lazy anymore! I used to do a good job with cleaning and picking up and I have been so lazy lately and my house is gross. I just dread cleaning anymore. Good habit - I am well organized and that makes things go pretty quick when I ever decide to clean.  :)

Bad habit - I hate doing laundry. My house is very clean, but I find that I'll leave my clean laundry in a basket waiting to be folded for days! I wish I would be quicker about folding when they come out of the dryer, but that rarely happens.

I'm totally with you on this! I usually run the dryer three times to *fluff* the clothes- mostly because I hate folding! :D

liz - sorry about the missing embryo fiasco, I'm sure that was frustrating!

    ((HUGS)) I am sorry.

Hi, ladies.  I have been trying not to obsess as much lately so I haven't been checking TB as much.  Just went for CD 3 testing on Sat with new RE and he confirmed what he told us a few weeks ago - we have little to no chance of conceiving on our own with my eggs.  My AMH came back at 0.2.  :-(  Today, I am leaning more towards being OAD but I am going to go talk to a therapist to talk through everything (as recommended by several of you - thank you!).

Praying for success for each and every one of you!

Check in: We finally got a copy of our carrier's health insurance policy and there is a very real chance that a pregnancy attained as a surrogate will not be covered. This is definitely not a deal breaker, but it's one more thing to stress about. I'm trying to get ahold of our lawyer so he can look at the policy because I'm now stressing out about having to find new health insurance for our carrier. ARG!
QOTW: My best habit would probably either be working out (I do it most days) or flossing. My worst habit? Procrastination!

    Ceemonkey.... ((HUGS)) So sorry.

KM...YAY!! Glad you found some races to keep busy!

(((HUGS))) to those who need them!

Update: Taking my final BCP this week, then it's time to get this show on the road! lol. I am working on just staying busy and I have done one acupuncture treatment, then found out that she was not under my provider like we thought, so found a new acupuncturist, so going to see if this acupuncture thing helps keep me calm! :-)

Worst habit is procrastination. Yup. I am bad about sometime waiting till the last min to get things done. My best habit? I am good listener and tend to see all sides of a story, so I tend to be a good middle person for people to vent too :-)

Ceemonkey I am so very sorry. Big hugs sweetie. So unfair :(

Good luck and best wishes to all of you!

I am at the beach this week...yay!

Bad Habit - I tend to leave stuff lying around in small little piles lately and it is driving MH crazy. I also never turn the lights off. I'm reminded often that the electric company does not pay our bills.

Good Habit - Try to undue my bad habits..lol. I am like Happywife on being too dedicated to my job. I am at their service 24/7 if needed and really need to learn to say don't call me on the weekends!!

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)
