Do any of you let your baby sleep on tummy

My LO turned five months yesterday, he rolls from back to tummy constantly. We Co sleep at night, and he naps in our bed with the door open so i can keep an eye on him. This past week he keeps rolling onto his tummy to sleep and i'm constantly flipping hum back over. He seems to sleep deeper abs better on tummy, but i'm not totally ok with it. Just scares me. Does anyone else allow their babies to sleep on their tummies?

  • Yea the husband and i had previously decided to wait until a year old to move him into his crib, but i'm thinking it might be time now. This makes me sad, as i love cuddling at night. However i'm feeling it's the decision. I do keep a really good eye on him during his naps, but like you said they can roll in an instant. Thank you for your input ladies.

  • Yes, ever since DS could roll consistently, he's been sleeping on his tummy (he's almost 5 months old and has been doing this for a couple weeks now)

DS was an early roller, so he's been sleeping on his tummy for awhile (for naps). At night he was still being swaddled, but a couple weeks ago he figured out how to roll over to his tummy while swaddled, and that worried me because what if he couldn't roll back. So now he's unswaddled at night. We put him down on his back and then he rolls all over his crib until he's comfy. He always ends up on his stomach.
