Vent - schools & working parents

DS's preschool tries to be sensitive to working parents, but turnout usually isn't great for evening stuff. I try to go because I appreciate the extra time the teachers put in, but I frequently work odd hours and end up missing stuff. I'm trying to find a job with better hours before he starts kindergarten for this reason.
