WDYT of just Sam?

Let me preface this by saying I usually prefer to have a longer/legit name with a nickname, or a name that just stands alone/no nn.

However, H and I bother adore Sam for a boy. Neither of us like the longer versions of Samson/Samuel.

Is Sam strong enough to stand alone?

Any other suggestions for a longer version of Sam?

Thoughts/Opinions/Whateevers.

I think Sam is great! It sounds masculine to me and I definitely prefer it alone over the other choices.
