cradle cap keeps coming back

any tips on how to get rid of this??  I tried Olive/jojoba oil 1/2 hr before shampooing and used a baby brush to loosen the scales.  I tried head and shoulders.  I also tried Mustela Stelaker (as a night treatment) and the Newborn foaming shampoo.  It seems to be a bit better with the Mustela but it still looks really bad.

have you tried gently scrubbing the cradle cap with a softer toothbrush?

My pedi said that they just outgrow it and sometimes they can have it up to 4 years old.  Luckily when they get more hair it covers it up.

I scrub it while I'm shampooing with a washcloth. It's getting better!?

this is going to be something you probably have to keep doing for awhile, as it may take time to totally go away. in my case i'm 27 and still have it... anyway what seems to work with our boy is olive oil and toothbrush scrub, followed by a small amt. of selsen blue shampoo. then what really seems to do the trick is slathering his head with aquaphor before bed. the nights i do it he wakes up cradle cap free the next day.

I put baby oil on DS cradle cap last night. I put a little cap on it to let it soak in for about 45 minutes. Then at bath time I combed off some of the scales. Rubbed with selsen blue in the tub next. This morning, it is almost gone. I plan to do this every bath night now!!

Aquafor is wonderful too! The other day ( yesterday actually) I put baby oil in, let it sit for like 20 mins then used a baby brush to loosen the scales, then washed his hair with aquafor baby wash ( um only thing is it didn't say anything about using it as shampoo) also brushed it with soap on it, It didnt go away, but its better, I am going to do the same today.
