Babies: 9 - 12 Months

how many oz. of formula does your 9 month old eat?

MY DD is only taking 16 oz of forumla  day (plus some in her cereal) but eating 3 meals a day- my doctor wants me to try and get her to take 24 oz but I know that this is never going to happen- I guess I will have to drop a meal for now.  Anyone else's DC drinking less formula now. thanks

  • DS is drinking 24 ounces.  How many bottles do you give a day?  Do you give them at the same time as solids?  We do 4 bottles at roughly 6am, 10am, 2pm and right before bedtime.  I don't think DS would drink as much formula if we gave him the bottles at the same time as the solids.

  • My Ds has gone from 28oz to 20-24oz over the last few months.  He was taking 4 7ozbottles, but started not finishing them.  So, now I give him 6 oz upon waking and at bedtime.  During the day, I offer him 4 oz every few hours.  He has been taking more that way.  He eats well so I am not too worried.
  • DD eats anywhere from 22-26 ounces. She will only eat about 4 at a time though, so I have to offer more often.

  • According to the book from my ped at 9 months they say around 16-24oz.  My DD is only 8 months but we make 4 6oz bottles and lately she has drank little to none of her 3rd bottle.  She gets 3 solid meals a day and does really well with them.
