what the hell is "pablum"

people keep asking if he is getting pablum.  So if I am giving rice cereal is that pablum?  Is pablum a brand name?  Also, it's always older people who talk pablum if that makes any difference.

It's the old school name for infant cereal. (I think it was almost always made with rice, and fortified with the nutrients).

I think it might be a Canadian thing, almost all my older family members ask if Abby's getting any "pablum" yet...lol
