Just got back from 1st appt

She did a vaginal u/s, and we heard the heartbeat loud and clear! The baby is measuring at 1 cm, which is right where I should be at 7 1/2 weeks according to the doc. The baby looks like a little peanut on the u/s! 

I couldn't feel the wand in me at all during the u/s, I'm a teeny bit crampy now but nothing major and I don't even know that it's related to the u/s.

I'm so relieved to have heard the heartbeat. After hearing all the sad stories from people on here having no hb at their first appt, I breathed a HUGE sigh of relief to have that out of the way.

Yay! I'm glad it went well!! I felt that pressure too after.  It went away after a day.

It must.. I knew ahead of time they'd be doing a vaginal u/s to check for the heartbeat but I'm not sure how the wand thing works.

I think that's the case, I was also able to hear it via u/s at 8 weeks.  Not just transvag either, I had my NT scan today and got to hear it again.

We had a vaginal u/s at 7w0d, and heard the heartbeat as well - it was awesome!

Congrats! Our next appt in Dec 9 - I'm counting the days!

Ahhhh, that makes much more sense.

We couldn't pick it up on the doppler at 10w5d so I'm so excited to finally (hopefully) hear it at our next appt, at 16w!
