for Christmas.  Are you nuts?  A couch?  3 states away?  In a house I've never seen??

LOL - you should do what someone in my family would do - buy a couch for a doll house, wrap it up, and ship it to her.

I did that w/my other sis when she said she wanted a british racing green Jaguar with tan interior - I bought her a model of one.

Sounds like my sis!  She was complaining that the spending limit was too high for our Secret Santa drawing, so we lowered it to $50.  then she makes her list and puts on Marc Jacobs sunglasses, Disneyland season pass and all sorts of ridiculous things!  Not one thing was under $50.  Thanks sis!

Another choice could be to send her a fabric swatch and tell her that's all you could afford. LOL
