Actually, ice cream did ok with me.  And I was getting heartburn and acid reflux from water.  Try a little, but don't lie down for a while afterwards.  Good luck!

I think ice cream is worth a little h/b suffering. Maybe crush some Tums over that ice cream?

You should be fine. Do you have a pepcid or zantac for backup just in case? Or at least some Tums?

My doc told me to eat ice cream for the heartburn.  I have found that sour cream works very well for putting out the fire.

For me ice cream actually helps.  I think the dairy can settle down the heartburn a little.
