22cycles charting / 6 ntnp / 7 ttc cd2 WI'mD: starting testing this cycle feeling pretty numb and blah about the whole thing today. It's depressing how many new names I don't even recognize here, with of course a handful of exceptions. I see the doctor on Tuesday to come up with a battleplan. He wants to get three draws pre-O and then a whole curve of datapoints every other day thereafter so I am basically going to be a human pincushion this cycle. Still really, REALLY hoping that this could be our cycle and that we do all this testing, but really everything's fine and we just had to be patient and voila! We get our BFP. I have to hold onto that hope right now. I went to Mexico on a mission trip in high school and fell in love with the kids at the orphanage we worked at. That trip makes me grateful for hot showers and fresh drinking water still to this day. :) But Cinco de Mayo always struck me at a Budweiser holiday, so I really don't care to celebrate it at all.
WAYDTGKU: PNV, waiting on test results to formulate plan for next cycle
R/R/CS: I hate ZIka virus. All I want is a relaxing beach vacation and we can't go anywhere because of the virus. We could do the Keys with friends but IDK how I feel about booking anything & planning to go somewhere where Zika is like 70 miles away. I feel like that is just a bad idea.
GTKY: I have no Mexican heritage. I may try to sneak in some margaritas tonight & maybe do tacos or taco salad for dinner. I really like Mexican food. Enchiladas with mole sounds really good right about now. I wish I had a good mole recipe. DH and I have been on 2 Vacations in Mexico. 1 for a week in Cancun and the second was 2 weeks in Playa Del Carmen. While we enjoyed both trips we wouldn't go back again.
@PepperAT I feel your pain with trying to get DH on board. The doctor even told us how good for him weight training would be, but he still hasn't been too proactive about signing up for a gym with me, so I told him not to be surprised if he comes home to find out he has a membership somewhere! lol He did go on one or two evening walks with me after dinner but that was like, 2 weeks ago now! :p I'm still going to try to squeeze in a run on my own, and hope that if I can get my own wheels going, he will pick up on that momentum, too. We can do this!
@HopingforOneAgain Yikes! Holy cow, I don't blame you after such a scary ordeal! But at least we have Cuba, right!??! ;)

@sLass42 There's a lot of open circles, so that can make it tough. But I would say trust your gut on this and keep HIO! More will be revealed in time, but at least if you are right that your body is still gearing up, then you don't have to stop BD too soon...
@mrstuesday Hang in there! I'm sure your DH will be done before you know it and all the sacrifice will be worth it in the end. Plus, you are lucky to have such caring help with DD! :D
@becbec28 I'm so sorry for your loss. I know that will be tough, if you do decide to tough it out and go. WAYDTGKU: OPK, BBT, FM, prenatal, All the damn things I can pee on!
R/R/CS: So last night I found out my SIL is pregnant with her second, 10 weeks. They waited to tell us because they wanted to be sensitive to the fact that we are trying. My husband waited a few days to tell me, to see if we conceived this past cycle. I am crushed and mad as hell to say the least. I hate that I feel this way, because I love my husbands family and know them getting pregnant had nothing to do with me. I just keep thinking why not me? Why does this have to be so hard for me? I had done so well this cycle and even was doing okay when AF came. Now I'm falling to pieces. Life, right now in this moment I hate you.
GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food?
I do not have Mexican heritage. I have been to Mexico where I had the best tortillas of my life. As a native Californian, Mexican food is life. After moving to Seattle I have yet to find amazing Mexican food. Thank goodness I'll be visiting Southern California this summer to get my fix of tacos!
@mrsbinpa did you travel to a Zika area? H and I are traveling this month to Mexico, Riviera Maya to be exact. There have been no confirmed cases there. I have some info someone else shared with me if you're interested in looking at it. Based on what I have been researching I do not think we are going to bench ourselves like I had previously planned. I have a doctors apt a week after we return and plan on asking for a blood test to rule it out. Feel free to pm me if you'd like to chat more about it
@MollyandD I hate when people tell me "You're next!" or make some joke about how "it's in the water". Like, gee thanks, that's exactly how this whole thing works!
@DoctorDonna I'm sorry you're struggling with your W30. I promise, it gets better. Let me know if you need any recipes or anything if you're wanting vary your food a little bit. @MelissaM090 Sorry, I
don’t have any experience with SA’s…but it sounds like some other gals are
getting you some answers! My
brother-in-law just finished up a 2 year time period working as a musician on a
cruise ship. He loved it! Glad you had a good experience too.
@mrsdaddario Haha I’d
be lying if I said I haven't ever thought to myself “oh wow I can definitely feel follicles”
lol—for realz. Hoping you get some good answers on Monday!
@Megzb510 So sorry
about CD1, but have fun in Cali!!
@sldp123 Sorry you
are feeling yucky, I hope you feel better soon.
@mylove071407 Sorry
to see you back in WTO, hopefully you’ll get to return to TWW soon—good luck to
your DH on the job search!
@felix08 Yippee, AF
is on her way out, and it’s almost the weekend! The Cinco de Mayo celebration
in your town sounds fun!
@sevenn I usually
order the same thing at Mexican too…:)
@JediAlly85 Hoping we
both get to move over to TWW soon, for real!!
@micshi Haha I didn’t
know about Cinco de Mayo until I looked it up last year, so I feel you!
@MollyandD I hope you
enjoy the work baby shower—that is a LOT of people at your work who are
pregnant, that would make me feel stabby too. Good luck!
@Kenya715 Great job
with boot camp! Sorry to hear about your H’s grandmother. I hope that the trip
to FL goes well, enjoy the time with his family!
@DoctorDonna I am so
sorry Whole30 is tough!! Good job though with that apple yesterday, that is so
hard. You can do it!
@HurricanAmelia I understand about taking a break if you
need to—that insurance is A LOT. Hoping it all works out in your favor!
@teamginger13 Hoping
your follicle check on Sunday goes well!
@mokay19 So glad that
your DH gets to come home early! Enjoy!
@virginiaham Also keeping my FX that your cycle isn’t
anovulatory. FX for O soon!
@Dilynne I’m not sure
about your question, but hoping that other posters can help--kind of looks like the consensus is maybe 60 days.
@kfair001 Yeah, I
had no idea about Cinco de Mayo until I looked it up last year either!! Glad
you’re feeling so productive this week
@becbec28 I’m so
sorry about how you’re feeling regarding Mother’s Day. I am glad your SIL will
be there Sunday. Sending big hugs your way.
@mrsstuessy Sorry you have to be away from DD, but I hope
you at least are able to enjoy sleeping in for the first time in a while. Good luck helping your DH finish up
his thesis/last semester of grad school!
@sLass42 I’m not a
chart stalking expert, but it doesn’t look to me like you’ve O’d yet. I’d keep
HIO just in case!
@Lecool Oooh, yay
for a nice group of consistent temps! That is what I aspire to, lol.
@HopingForOneAgain
OMG your DH came into your work to whine!! My DH is like that too..any
ailment is the end of the world, lol.
Hope he feels better soon!
@PepperAT My DH has
kind of been driving me crazy in the same way that yours has. Sigh. FX they
both get it together soon!
@BusinessWife
Sending hugs your way—I hope you get some answers at the doctor’s on
Tuesday.
@MrsBinPA oh my GOD I
hear you with the Zika thing. I just booked an anniversary trip for us to
Disney World this upcoming December, but if I get KU before then—we *probably* won't be going, depending on the status of Zika in the US. I just read a news article that Orlando and Miami are the cities in the
US that are projected to be hit the hardest IF the US gets any local cases…sigh.
I am super pumped for this trip so I am thinking it might be Murphy’s law that
I get KU before then. Oh well, I won’t complain about that, and if I have to
choose between a child and Disney World…um a child will obv win. Hoping
it all blows over soon and it just won’t ever make it to the US for both our
sakes! BUT I just read @crazypt2285 ‘s
reply and that is comforting as well.
@Legomymego55 I am so so sorry about your SIL and what you’re
feeling right now. It is totally ok for you to be upset—we are here for you.
Sending big hugs your way, take care of yourself!

@Lecool - Thank you so much! I may have to take you up on that. I guess I never realized how crappy my diet was until starting this. It's the first week, so I'm obviously going to struggle with it. I was telling DH how shocked I was at, in spite of the headaches and the overall "detox" feeling I've been getting, how much better I feel. I don't feel bloated anymore. I am tired, but it's just end of the year tired. I'm pretty sure I've dropped weight already. It's just reminding myself to find alternative activities to eating and that I need to stop relying on food so much.
@DoctorDonna Exactly. And after the first week, you'll feel really great. The first week sucks because you still want all the sugar and carbs. If you need some food inspiration check out Paleomg (I basically hero worship this girl), Against All Grain (TW: She had a loss last year and mentions it occasionally), and Nom Nom Paleo. These are my three go-tos. Not all recipes are W30 compliant, but a lot are, and you can usually tweak them to make them compliant. Oh, and when you're done with your W30, check out Brittany Angell for paleo treats! (Definitely NOT W30 compliant).

@MelissaM090 We haven't done SA yet, but working on cruise ships sounds so fun and interesting! I always thought about doing that after college as a ship singer for entertainment, but I never really followed up... how brave of you!
@mrsdaddario Totally don't even worry about it. Apparently BSC can take on many forms! FX everything does what it's supposed to, and in the mean time, try to remember to breathe, and trust that everything is humming along just fine... ;)
@Megzb510 Sorry about CD1 :( At least we are pushing reset together. :) Enjoy your temping break!
@sldp123 Sorry you are in that Clomid fog - I've never taken it so I don't know what it's like yet. But at least, like you said, the drugs have their benefits, too! FX for you!! and hope you're feeling better soon...
@mylove071407 Sorry about the TWW confusion. I think most people wait until a solid 3DPO before moving over, but sometimes even that is not enough and I have seen people come back a week later because they O'd much later than FF first thought... Hang in there! And GL on your new job search! :D That's exciting!
@felix 08 Yay! Happy almost Friday!!! And maybe even ALMOST FW! ;)
@sevenn Cool beans for EWCM! I know it's confusing at first, but try to hang in there and keep watching for fertile CM, since all kinds of things can throw off your temps, but CM will always be there. Fertile can be EWCM or watery, and non-fertile can be sticky or creamy, so if it helps in your mind to simplify it like that, like there's more like two kinds... instead of 4-million! lol That may make it feel less overwhelming.
@JediAlly85 Personally, I stopped bothering with the wondfos and am sticking with the CBAdv digis, cos at least for me the blinkey/solid smiley I can handle. As long as we BD, I don't really care precisely which day turns out to be O, but at least I know with those ones, when we definitely need to be HIO. I think I had almost the same thing, like mostly only ever 2 blinkey smiley days, but last cycle I think I had three. Go figure.
@kellybean1988 Argh to mystifying temps and not being sure when to start the progesterone... :/ Smart move though staying away from the festivities tonight if it only makes your TTC life harder! lol
@micshi HEY, cycle buddy! lol I'm also on CD2. Do you know yet what day you typically o?
@beary67 omg this wait has got to be agonizing for you! But at least you are being proactive and you have a plan in place for next cycle. If you ever get there! j/k you will... or you WON'T!!! in which case, that would be the best possible scenario!!!!! :D FX so hard for you!!!
@momtoleo I agree about this "May" weather! Can we please get some sunshine up in here!?!? lol
@skiiingstark lol And the Award for Creepiest gif of the Day goes to.... ! Ha!
@Marley629 Sorry about the headaches! Hope you get some answers at the ENT... ((hugs))
@Shannon1017 I'm a firm believer in, count it however you need to not to have too much stress. :) FX for clear O-signs this cycle!!!
@MollyandD Yes, "stabby," is definitely a thing, and next time, I say just scream! lol That'll teach em! What does your husband play?
@Kenya715 So sorry about your loss... Hopefully you guys will at least be able to enjoy a peaceful trip. ((hugs))
@DoctorDonna Good for you, hanging in there with the Whole 30! I have never done it, but I have been trying to make better "whole" food choices, too. Was doing well there until AF hit! Got to get back in the swing... Hooray for fewer kids, tho! lmao I mean... ;) But seriously, if you lived in Texas you might celebrate the Battle of the Alamo! They take the Mexican war so super-seriously! (I think that's what it was part of...) I don't remember much of it, but I took a whole semester of Texas history when I lived there and I DO remember our class trip the the Alamo. lol They wouldn't stop calling me, "Yankee," either, even the teacher... <img title="Image: https://d1o2xrel38nv1n.cloudfront.net/files/2013/04/Hermione_eye_roll.gif" src="https://d1o2xrel38nv1n.cloudfront.net/files/2013/04/Hermione_eye_roll.gif" alt="" height="198" width="500">
@HurricaneAmelia HEY, cycle buddy! FX for you! Sounds like you have a good mindset about the whole thing, and hopefully this will be your cycle and you won't have to worry about all that added expense. (hugs)
@teamginger13 GL with your IUI this cycle!!! FX super hard for you guys!
@mokay19 Yay! So glad your DH gets to come home early!!
@virginiaham Ugh, so sorry about your loss and having to keep waiting out this cycle... FX for nice big clear O signs!!! ((hugs))
@Dilynne I agree with PPs, that 60 days is what I've always heard. Good thing you called her when you did, cos you might have been waiting needlessly a whole extra month!
@kfair001 OMG I love Mexican food too! Glad you have such a relaxed, healthy TTC attitude right now, and thank goodness for the busy-ness that can actually make it easier. UNLIKE THE PROCRASTINATION THAT I'M DOING!!! lol ;)
@BusinessWife - Yeah...Texas is different. lol! Battle of the Alamo was the only one I could think of. Maybe The Battle of Gettysburg? Do we have national holidays for battles? Not really, but some regions do celebrate certain battles. No one in Mexico celebrates it. It is a holiday created for Mexican pride in America, but it has been turned into a stereotype and I'm not a fan of that. Putting on a sombrero, drinking margaritas, and eating chips and salsa is not really traditional Mexican. My students are so confused by it.
@BusinessWife hey buddy! Last cycle was my first one temping, so I'm not sure yet. When I O'd on CD 18, FF claimed I O'd earlier than normal. Not sure how it came to that conclusion since it doesn't know when I O'd before that!

I love margaritas, its my favorite drink. DH and I will definitely going out tonight and having some to celebrate Cinco de Mayo! I do not have Mexican heritage but I love Mexican food and I love Mexico- its one of my favorite vacation destinations. My family has a time share in Cancun and Cabo.
WAYDTGKU: temping, charting, hoping O comes a little late because DH and I won't be together at all during my predicted FW
R/R/CS: I started 21 Day Fix Extreme on Monday and I am definitely in the "feel like crap" part that happens in the beginning. I drastically changed my diet so I'm pretty sure I'm detoxing from all the crud I've been eating. I also am so sore and tired, but I know I just need to get used to it all again.
GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food?
No Mexican heritage. I am as white as a white girl can be. Like leggings, uggs, and pumpkin spice latte white. But I LOVE Mexican food. It's delicious. I've never been to Mexico, but I'd like to. I don't have any plans to celebrate today because tomorrow is DH's birthday. Plus I'm cutting out alcohol during my 21df (and possibly for the rest of TTC), and that sucks...

Feeling dumb - I was a bit surprised at how many people in this thread have been to Mexico, only because around here people tend to travel more to Cuba based on it being lower cost...now I remember that since most of you are likely American, Cuba wasn't exactly a place you could go. Duh.

@mrsdaddario Haha I’d be lying if I said I haven't ever thought to myself “oh wow I can definitely feel follicles” lol—for realz. Hoping you get some good answers on Monday!
@Megzb510 So sorry about CD1, but have fun in Cali!!
@sldp123 Sorry you are feeling yucky, I hope you feel better soon.
@mylove071407 Sorry to see you back in WTO, hopefully you’ll get to return to TWW soon—good luck to your DH on the job search!
@felix08 Yippee, AF is on her way out, and it’s almost the weekend! The Cinco de Mayo celebration in your town sounds fun!
@sevenn I usually order the same thing at Mexican too…:)
@JediAlly85 Hoping we both get to move over to TWW soon, for real!!
@micshi Haha I didn’t know about Cinco de Mayo until I looked it up last year, so I feel you!
@beary67 Hoping you O soon!
@momtoleo It’s dreary and chilly here too. I am so over it!
@skiiingstark Love the SW /Cinco de Mayo smashup!
@Marley629 I have also had bad sinus pressure headaches thanks to the weather. Here’s hoping you get some answers at your appt!
@1017Shannon I hope you O this month as well, FX!
@MollyandD I hope you enjoy the work baby shower—that is a LOT of people at your work who are pregnant, that would make me feel stabby too. Good luck!
@Kenya715 Great job with boot camp! Sorry to hear about your H’s grandmother. I hope that the trip to FL goes well, enjoy the time with his family!
@DoctorDonna I am so sorry Whole30 is tough!! Good job though with that apple yesterday, that is so hard. You can do it!
@HurricanAmelia I understand about taking a break if you need to—that insurance is A LOT. Hoping it all works out in your favor!
@teamginger13 Hoping your follicle check on Sunday goes well!
@mokay19 So glad that your DH gets to come home early! Enjoy!
@virginiaham Also keeping my FX that your cycle isn’t anovulatory. FX for O soon!
@Dilynne I’m not sure about your question, but hoping that other posters can help--kind of looks like the consensus is maybe 60 days.
@kfair001 Yeah, I had no idea about Cinco de Mayo until I looked it up last year either!! Glad you’re feeling so productive this week
@becbec28 I’m so sorry about how you’re feeling regarding Mother’s Day. I am glad your SIL will be there Sunday. Sending big hugs your way.
@mrsstuessy Sorry you have to be away from DD, but I hope you at least are able to enjoy sleeping in for the first time in a while. Good luck helping your DH finish up his thesis/last semester of grad school!
@sLass42 I’m not a chart stalking expert, but it doesn’t look to me like you’ve O’d yet. I’d keep HIO just in case!
@Lecool Oooh, yay for a nice group of consistent temps! That is what I aspire to, lol.
@HopingForOneAgain OMG your DH came into your work to whine!! My DH is like that too..any ailment is the end of the world, lol. Hope he feels better soon!
@PepperAT My DH has kind of been driving me crazy in the same way that yours has. Sigh. FX they both get it together soon!
@BusinessWife Sending hugs your way—I hope you get some answers at the doctor’s on Tuesday.
@MrsBinPA oh my GOD I hear you with the Zika thing. I just booked an anniversary trip for us to Disney World this upcoming December, but if I get KU before then—we *probably* won't be going, depending on the status of Zika in the US. I just read a news article that Orlando and Miami are the cities in the US that are projected to be hit the hardest IF the US gets any local cases…sigh. I am super pumped for this trip so I am thinking it might be Murphy’s law that I get KU before then. Oh well, I won’t complain about that, and if I have to choose between a child and Disney World…um a child will obv win. Hoping it all blows over soon and it just won’t ever make it to the US for both our sakes! BUT I just read @crazypt2285 ‘s reply and that is comforting as well.
@Legomymego55 I am so so sorry about your SIL and what you’re feeling right now. It is totally ok for you to be upset—we are here for you. Sending big hugs your way, take care of yourself!

UNLIKE THE PROCRASTINATION THAT I'M DOING!!! lol ;)
Edited because I can't write today....

R/R/CS: Last cycle was super wacky because of my mc so not sure if my cycle will go back to the way it was before or not. Hate not being sure when I am going to O so might start opks earlier than usual so I don't miss my FW.
GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food?
I love margaritas, its my favorite drink. DH and I will definitely going out tonight and having some to celebrate Cinco de Mayo! I do not have Mexican heritage but I love Mexican food and I love Mexico- its one of my favorite vacation destinations. My family has a time share in Cancun and Cabo.

Month/Cycle: 3/3
CD: 8

Thanks for the feedback about the SA - I was just talking to DH about it, and he at least wants me to accompany him to the appointment and we'll go from there. If the clinic offers me the opportunity to go in with him, I'll leave it up to him at that moment.
Working on a cruise ship was definitely an amazing experience. If anyone ever has nosy questions about it, I'm happy to answer .

R/R/CS: I haven't told anyone at work that I'm TTC, its not a secret but I haven't really brought it up because I don't know how long it will take and don't want to bother with people asking me. But today a student who graduated awhile ago was visiting for lunch, and straight up asked me if I would be having babies soon since I was married now. I kinda shrugged and must have looked very uncomfortable, because he quickly made a joke and moved on.
GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food?
Who doesn't love Mexican food? I've never been to Mexico, my family was actually planning to visit this summer but I requested we go somewhere cold because of potential Zika concerns.
CD: 13
WAYDTGKU: Temping over fertile period, OPK, acupuncture, PNV, pre-seed.
R/R/CS: I got a positive on a CBD OPK today so hoping O happens in the next couple of days. In other news the weather is amazing! And the weekend is due to get hotter still!
GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food?
It isn't a celebrated holiday here - I've never been to mexico but I would love to go, I adore mexican food.

GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food?
Nope I don't celebrate/no Mexican heritage. We went to Mexico on our honeymoon!!! It was amazing I loved every second -- though I must add that we didn't leave the resort other than one day so maybe I should say, we went to a resort in Mexico. I do love Mexican food a lot.

GTKY: Happy Cinco de Mayo! Let's talk about Mexico today! Do you celebrate this day? Do you have any Mexican heritage? Have you ever been to Mexico? Did you like it? Do you like Mexican food?
I have not been to Mexico yet. I do love Mexican food and margaritas though! Someday we'll visit when the whole Zika thing dies down.
(Side note: can you travel to Cuba now? I am so confused about all that. I haven't been myself but people really seem to enjoy it)
