Christmas photo cards: Use a picture of the whole family or just the kid/s? Discuss.
If I have an awesome picture of the whole family, I use it. Otherwise, just the kids. I usually have a few pictures on our cards, I use Shutterfly. This year, the whole family is on the card, because of this picture!!!!

I think either full family or just kids is appropriate for cards, though we usually do just kids because it's fewer people to have to have looking at the camera and looking good.

Me: Sorry I missed your call, I was on another phone call. Dude: You were on a phone call for an hour and a half, I'm sure... Me: Actually yes, I was. It's quite common. If you recall, our last call was over two hours long (laugh laugh). Dude: I don't think so. Me: (silence - is he serious?) 4pm to 6:20pm. I remember because I had to email my husband to pick up my daughter, then an hour later had to write a note telling him to pick up dinner.
If you see me on the news threatening people with a table knife, it's because I snapped. Who says these things?
Before Bennett we'd send out hand written cards. Now with him we get a family photo every year at his photoshoots so we use a combination of a family shot and a couple of him over the last year. They are usually front/back. Our photog does them and it's actually a lot cheaper that way. We send out about 45.
Oh, and also, I totally forgot about Lennon's doctor's appointment this morning. I've never missed one with any of the other kids. Poor baby #4.
You're a rockstar. I have forgotten one, and shown up at the wrong time twice. They looked at me like an alien when I did it a SECOND time. Thanks to DH for those fun times.
We receive less cards than we send out but our aunts and uncles, grandparents usually send a gift for the kids instead of a family Christmas card as they don't have kids at home anymore, and we do not send them gifts.
Christmas cards are an afterthought for me every year. We usually receive a few and then I write some because I feel like I should. I never design them or anything. I just don't feel like doing it.

My zipper broke on my FAVORITE coach wallet. For $20, they will either fix it, or give me a credit to buy a new one. I bet they'd fix it but I kinda want a new one. I just don't think I can talk my H into spending freaking $248 on a new one. Why is a wallet as much as a small purse? And I don't want mine fixed because it's looking kind of used.
We send far more cards than we receive. I just love stationery--always have, and working for a stationery company for years didn't help. It's one of those holiday things I enjoy doing, so I dive in headfirst. On the other hand, exterior decor is minimal and I only bake a few pies and a batch of cookies or two.
But I sometimes worry that sending a "designed" card with a picture of my happy-perfect family (HA not even close) comes across as AW-y.
I'm not sure if we will get a tree this year. I want to but we won't be home for Christmas and I don't want our house sitter to have to deal with remembering to water the tree. And it makes a huge mess. But I also don't want Quinn to miss out either. I kinda want to bring one on vacation so we have it on Christmas!!

OK, you need to buy a bag of Tollhouse chocolate chips and follow the recipe on the back, making sure to watch your oven so the cookies are removed before they are completely done. Leave them on the cookie sheets for no longer than 1 minute before moving to cooling racks then storing between wax paper in plastic containers. You can't go wrong, seriously.

Have you heard of Coachfactory.com? I'd NEVER pay $250 for a wallet. It's actually a Coach outlet online I've ordered tons of purses/wallets from there.
We are so boring that DH could literally look through my email or phone or anything he wanted, or vice versa. The only risk is an occasional bitch about his mom, haha.

I'm all for any type of photo card and we send out about 50 and get about 30ish so not too bad.
I love to bake any and everything but have never attempted a pie. I make a mean heath cheesecake following the back of the heath bits bag. Now I really want that!
DS had strep twice in 3 weeks and DD had a bad double earache last week - and now I feel like I'm getting both - one from each of them, how nice.

DH hands over his phone every night so I can steal all his photos because I am the one ordering prints and making backups. He looks at the photos I took of the boys once he is home too.
He could look at mail and texts. I don't think he does. Same the other way around. We have nothing to hide and trust each other. That is apparently weird to some people. Ah well. I am ok being weird and happy.
I think I want a new bread machine. Is that weird? I've been using my parents from the 90's and while it works, I think a new one would be better with more options. Does anyone else use a bread machine? Or am I all alone in that?!?
Usually I do a family pic on Christmas cards. Last year I did the 3 kids because I didn't want to pretend to be a big happy family when we weren't. This year I'm not sure if I will do just the boys, the boys and I, or all 3 kids. I might end up making 2 different cards. One for my side with the boys and I, and one for his with all 3 kids. I haven't decided.
Colby didn't cry when I dropped him at school this morning, this is the first time! It made me happy that he is adjusting but sad he isn't missing me as much
One Tree Hill sucks. And somehow I've been watching it for a week straight on Netflix. I'm halfway done with season 2.

I have a purse from the Coach store. Paid way more than anyone should for it. Found the Coachfactory.com paid a fraction on several items. Which actually add up to about the same price as one purse normally. Everything gets bascially the same use and has held up exactly the same.
