Needing T&Ps too, please.
My sister just called me. She was frantic and crying.
My BIL is on a local committee that plans a huge festival in October. He was milling cane to make sorghum syrup for the festival, and his glove got caught in the mill.
His hand is crushed up to the wrist, and the wrist is broken too (a nurse was on scene and able to immediately help him).
It's really bad and we don't know details as to whether he will be able to use his hand after this or not.
Anyway, they are flying him to one of the big hospitals where he will go immediately to surgery.
Prayers are really appreciated.

I am trying to round up gas money to go be with her. She is with her ILs, but that's not the same as being with mom/dad/brother/sister kind of family.
Thanks to everybody for thoughts and prayers.
They tried really hard, but they couldn't save anything past his wrist. My sister is a wreck. When I talked to her last, she said something about a prosthetic, but then she began crying too hard for me to understand her.
We're all emotionally spent. I told her that I was trying to get there, and she said to wait. She doesn't want the kids to see him "like that" yet. Her own son (age 3) doesn't even know yet.
My mom was able to go be with her. Mom is good at stuff like this, but she's amazing at everything.
It's just all really awful. He has a lot of healing to do.

Sending positive thoughts and wishes to you and your family.... I hope the healing process is quick and adjustment period doesn't cause too much stress or heartache.
