I haven't pooped since Friday, and I feel miserable. I'd be happy to even have rabbit turds at this point. I've tried extra fluids, extra fruits and veggies, and Metamucil - still not a single BM. I've struggled with slow bowels for over a year as it is, and I've been treated at the hospital for impaction twice since last October. Our doctor has me taking these stupid supplements every day to keep my iron levels boosted, and she warned me that constipation can become an issue. No shit!! (See what I did there...?)
This is what I have to say: F--- you, iron pills...F--- YOU!!!!!!!!!
You may go about your business as usual now. Thanks for reading.

Re: Ferrous Sulfate (TMI rant)
Sorry if this is the equivant of suggesting ginger when you have horrid morning sickness & have tried everything.
Baby Girl Born: April 2014
If you ask me what I came to do in this world, I, an artist, I will answer you:
My OB put me on ferrous sulfate as well and I had the same issues, in addition to it making me nauseous because I was still in first tri when I started. So someone on here recommended getting a slow release tablet instead and that helped a lot. I just bought the generic version at Walgreens.
When I was PG with my DS, my OB put me on a prescription iron capsule that gave me no GI issues whatsoever, so if the slow release doesn't help maybe ask for that.

When I was backed up from the Zofran, I was taking psyllium husk capsules (it's the active ingredient in metamucil, but without any extras--just the fiber part). I would also resort to green smoothies with tons of spinach.
Hope it gets better for you soon!

Have you tried prune juice? Try starting out with a small glass, because, um, sometimes too much works too well.
Coconut water has also helped, and I know there is one brand (can't think of it now) that specifically says pasteurized on it and comes in a pack of four individual containers.
