Spilt or vomit

My son just made a cough and started to cry I went to check him and the crib sheets where his head was soaked and had little white clups in it and it even got on the bumper and floor a little is this spilt up or volit? Ftm and just want to make sure if its volit to watch him closely

    Sounds like spit-up. As long as baby seems happy and isn't running a fever, don't worry about it!

    Typically, the difference between the 2 is spit up is generally "silent" whereas vomit is loud.  My LO makes an O face when she vomits and it's A LOT! Spit up just kinda happens.  When my LO was a newborn until about 6 months she spit up dozens of times a day.  Some babies are just heavy spitter-uppers.
