We love the name Claire for our baby girl. We have pretty much decided on Claire Elisabeth. I'm just curious how many Claire's do you know?? Any??Under what age? Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance!! =]

All the Claires I know of are adults, more or less. One lives down the street, in her 40's; sister of a neighbor, in her 30's; former tenant, college age, maybe early 20's or just 20.
I feel like there may be a lot of people running around with Claire as a middle name. Is that just me? Not my middle name, just me feeling like that is the case. Like it was the "Anne" or "Marie" for some generation, the filler middle name.
I know a woman in her 30's named Claire. There also seems to be at least one Claire (under 5 years old) at the park, zoo, in every Gymboree class etc that we go to. I used to like it, but now I'm just sick of hearing it.

I know two personally - my daughter, who is actually also Claire Elizabeth! She is 2. The other is a former co-worker in her 30's.
Now that we pay attention to the name we have actually run into quite a few young girls/babies named Claire. It does seem like there is always at least one other in a class she is in or at the pool in the summer.
I also just want to call out that Elizabeth is an extremely popular middle name to pair with Claire. Almost every other Claire I've met (I'm not joking) is a "Claire Elizabeth." If I had known all of this ahead of time, I would have stuck with Claire as a first name, but picked a different middle name.

We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
I don't think I know any. It's surprising, because it's a fairly popular name and the sort of traditional name my friends would like. I like it a lot, although being part Italian I have tried to talk DH into Chiara.

My Bff's daughter is Claire Elizabeth (6). There is a Clare in my DS's Mother's Day Out class (2 years). I don't know here mn, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was Elizabeth. It is a lovely name, but every time it comes up on here and people are looking for mn suggestions, they end up choosing Elizabeth. I suspect that of the Claire's born each year, many of them have the mn Elizabeth.
I know one who's in highschool, and I have a professor named Clare and yes she's British! who's in her 30's but no youngsters! I love the name : so classic and pretty!
Re: How many do YOU know??
Love Claire and really love Claire Elisabeth!

Two. One is an adult in her early thirties and the other is a baby/toddler in DS's daycare class.
I also know one adult with Claire as a middle name (funny enough her first name is Elizabeth).
1- 2 year old
1- 32 year old
I went to college with a Clare, so she's my age.
I also know one Claire that is around 2-3 years old.
That's it.
None.
Also, I love this spelling of Elisabeth!

One. She's 25.
I like it, but my dad's name is Clair, so that's obviously not an option for us lol
