What kind of thermometer are you all using on your LOs now? I used a rectal thermometer when DD was an infant but now that she's a little older, I think I should be switching but to what?
Last night, I tried an underarm thermometer, but it said it needed 2 MINUTES to get a reading. 2 minutes with a toddler is a lifetime! DD wouldn't sit still for 2 minutes.
So just curious what everyone else is using? Type/brand and for bonus points, can I get it via Amazon Prime
TIA!

Re: thermometers
We went through a few and this has been our longest lasting, most reliable one.

This exactly. My pedi office uses this one. You can scan it across the forehead or just behind the ear. It is fast.

We have a Braun Thermoscan (got at Walgreens) and it seems to work well - and it's fast!

I just bought this one today from Target:
https://www.target.com/p/advanced-solutions-easy-read-4-in-1-thermometer/-/A-14374337#prodSlot=medium_1_10
It takes 8 seconds under the arm. It will also take rectal and oral temps in 5 seconds. I think it said it also measures bath water. I had to go buy a new one today since G is sick and I knew he had a fever and he was also not having it having to sit with a thermometer under his arm for 2+ minutes. Have only used it a couple of times and so far so good. I had to do 2 readings once though but I think that is just because I didn't have it under his arm. But for less than $15 it works for me.
