Same here! My midwife is Linda Hughlett. She's awesome. I switched to their practice after not feeling comfortable with my OB at MTMC in Murfreesboro, and even the NP that worked under my OB said that I would love it there. As soon as Linda came in, she gave me and my SO a big hug in greeting and was so playful with LO when she listened to his heartbeat. I've only had the one appointment, but I already feel way better about how things are going to go when I deliver.

There are a couple I've found on meetup.com with tons of moms but I'm nervous about joining. Some are pretty established and looks like they have fun get togetherd but I just haven't personally gotten around to it.

I'm a little late to post on the local board. But I'm due in October (my first pregnancy) and I live in LaVergne. I also have a 23 month old boy and an 8 month old girl whom we adopted at birth. I joined a playgroup on Meetup called Smyrna Sprouts and have met a lot of mom's in Rutherford Co. I highly recommend it! I've lived in this area for 14 years and once I became a stay at home mom, I found out really fast that I didn't have many friends who were in the same boat as me!
We became A "Forever Family" on February 21,2011. Exactly 1 year from the day we began our adoption journey! Baby Girl joined our family October 5, 2011 we will be finalizing her adoption soon! And now after 7 years of infertility here I am pregnant with our third child! Due to arrive October 7, 2012!
I'm in Brentwood! DS was born April 11th. I delivered at Vanderbilt and it was a great experience! I too and looking into some meet up groups but have yet to go to any.

I used the West End Women's health center as well and LOVED it. I switched to them at 24 weeks and was so glad I did. Lauren Drees is my primary midwife and Margaret Buxton is the one who was there for delivery. They are both amazing. I have had several appointments with Linda and she was there in the hospital to check on me the day after delivery. I really like her too! All of the midwives I have seen there are so great to work with.

I live in mount Juliet and go to MOPS at hermitage hills baptist it has been so great to get out and meet other moms I think there is a MOPs group in Hendersonville you might want to check it out
