Ok thank you! I'm still waiting to trigger for IUI 2, I just like to know what to expect and if I will be able to continue and keep my trip. I will just have to wait and see. Thanks!
It all depends on where you are at in your cycle and what protocol you are using. There are many differences in each one.
I agree with Mandalinn25. That it depends on what your RE plans to do and where your at cycle-wise.
My prep month was not too terrible. I started on BCP first and then started Lupron and an antibiotic on day 17 of that cycle. I didn't have a whole lot of RE monitoring during that time.
Started TTC 4/09
Saw Specialist 7/10

Exploratory Laproscopy: found cysts outside ovaries & fallopian tubes blocked (removed) 5/11
IUI #4: 7/11
IUI #5: 7/11
IVF #1: implanted 2 embryos= BFN w/ no frosties
IVF #2: 12/11 implanted 3 embryos= BFN w/ no frosties
2/12: Consulted regular endo about weird test results, worse than nothing.
7/12: Decided that adoption is the best option.
I had 3 failed IUI's and my RE started me on IVF right after. I am currently at the beginning of my first IVF cycle. I know they put you on birth control for a whole month to calm your ovaries. Maybe that's what your RE was doing? Good luck!
I also had 3 failed IUIs. After the last IUI, my RE started me on my first IVF. I was on birth control form about 3 weeks to calm my overies before they started stimming them. The only monitoring was after I came off the birth control.
So depending on when your trip is, you still may be able to go. They can keep you on birth control for a few days longer, which is nice if you have something you are planning around.
GL with this IUI. And I hope you can still go on your trip.
IF sucks. And it makes planning anything fun so difficult!

After 3 years . . . 3 IUIs . . . and 3 IVFs . . . our miracle GIRL arrived on August 6, 2012.
Baby Girl # 2 TTC Since June 2013 Got pregnant on our own without Fertility Treatments - January 2016! Thank you snow storm Jonas! EDD 10/15/16 At 20-week anatomy scan found IUGR (Intrauterine Growth Restriction), and very low Amniotic Fluid. Now, I'm High Risk and have weekly ultrasounds to monitor fluid and growth. If baby runs out of room or is too growth restricted, they will deliver ASAP. My current goal is to make it to 28 weeks!
