45 min. intruder: suggestions?

Every. Stinkin'. Night. I've tried letting him fuss but then it just ramps up into a meltdown. I've tried patting and shushing but nothing will do until I pick him up. Then he's out like a light in, like, 30 sec. and usually doesn't wake until morning. What to do?

    Yeah, if he sleeps all night after that, I'd keep it up.  He'll outgrow it eventually.  It isn't like you see 30 year olds waking up every night like that.  : )

    Phew, cause I pictured myself going off to college with him. Stick out tongue Seriously, though, you're probably right; I should count my blessings. I just thought there might be something I should be doing so he gets over this stage.

    Jump up and down to celebrate? My LO wakes up several times per night at the 45 minute mark...count your blessings!

    Go with the flow!  Mine often does something similar, though doesn't consistently STTN. Maybe it's like a nap to get ready for sleep? :)
