I'm getting ready to place my order with an Etsy seller, and I just want to make sure I'm 100% before I do so because this will be custom made = not something I can return if I change my mind!
Here's the furniture collection we are going with for sure:
https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4005143
Originally this was the plan:
I wanted to make a pleated bed skirt with the first link as the main fabric, and the second as the fabric in the background of the pleat (I'm going to do a light pink fitted bed sheet for sure):

quilthome.com/product_info.php/cPath/38_786_1035/products_id/9793
And this fabric for the changing pad cover:

But now I'm wondering if it's all going to be too much for a small room, and if I should reduce the 3 fabrics to 2. I LOVE the second link (the paisley like one) and so would do that one as the entire bed skirt, and then either pick the first link or second link for the changing pad cover.
This Etsy seller is also going to be making us a blanket so I'll get all the fabrics in the blanket, but for the rest of the room, should I go with my original plan or just pick two fabrics? Which 2 fabrics would you pick for a little girl?
TIA!
Re: XP: Looking for opinions on our nursery...
I do like the idea of 3 fabrics, but I dont care for these 3 together.
We have three that Im using - I went with on main patterned, and two accent patterns. The following is just my opinion: the three you have are all very big, bold patterns, that I really like separate.
The paisley is fantastic and by far my favorite. Would you mind sharing the sellers link? Maybe someone (if I dont have to run to work or I can come back later too and look) may suggest other fabrics to coordinate around that one if that is the one you love the most too)
Otherwise, if it was JUSt out of those 3 - I would use the first two. and do the changing pad cover out of whatever one was the insert for the crib skirt pleats. I think a pink would look really good with the paisley though if you can find a simple pattern to go with it.
Just one example of how I think Maybe its not your style at all so if not, maybe someone else can chime in!

looking at that fabric set - I would choose fabric D for the crib skirt, and use something like E for the insert. Something where the pattern is repeating without other colors interfering. And you could use D still for the changing pad cover.
My third fabric only comes into play on the glider in the nursery - otherwise my bedding is fabric 1, the crib skirt and changing pad cover make up my 2nd main fabric. So two totally works
They're all very pretty fabrics but I don't think they go well together. all of them are very busy and compete with each other.
I LOVE the paisley fabric as well but remember that as soon as you drop the mattress down, you'll probably get rid of the skirt.
I would get at least 2 changing pad covers and crib sheets.
One in each fabric:

And have the skirt done in this one:

Good luck!
I don't think it's a problem to have 3 different fabrics - babies respond well to bright colors and high contrasts. But I don't personally care for the first fabric you picked. The color is great by there's something about the scale of the design that I'm not that fond of...
But once you make up your mind and get the pieces made - please post pictures! I'd love to see them!
