Any Pediatricians(Need advice)

My LO has transitioned to regular milk. However he is LACTOSE intolerant and as a baby he was given soy. However i don't feel comfortable giving him regular soy milk. I asked his pediatrician what other milk i could give him and he said to just give him soy & nothing thats been said about soy is true. I just want to know if I have other options.

Thanks ladies.

If you gave him soy as a baby, why are you concerned with giving him soy milk now?

Because what i read about soy formula it wasn't so bad as what is said about regular milk.

I'm sorry, I'm confused. You read that soy formula isn't as bad as regular milk or soy milk?

    Sorry about regular soy

I would assume if your LO has been on soy formula, soy milk would be fine.  I have also heard bad things about soy but if you are already using soy formula, I would think your LO will be just fine with soy milk.

Not an MD, but am planning on doing almond or rice milk.   Also going to ask Pedi about goat milk.  I also have concerns about soy, as anything that can "act" as a hormone is of concern - IMO.  We have eliminated the pesticide concern as we do Organic soy.
