TW Bleeding

i woke up with dark, red bleeding this morning. Haven't had any bleeding this pregnancy yet. I have ultrasound at work (I'm a vet) and just peeked at baby last night. It's heart was going good and it was moving like crazy. But with two losses in the last year, I'm terrified. I stopped my progesterone two days ago, so the nurse had me do one this morning and then I'll call back when they open to be seen. I'm just so scared. And I'll have to get a Rhogam shot, because I'm O negative. 

We got genetic screening back yesterday and baby I still healthy. God, please let it be okay still.

Could the bleeding be a side effect from stopping progesterone? hope everything is okay. Thinking of you.

@a2003tiger oh girl, I'm sorry you are stressed out. Since you saw the baby last night I bet everything is ok. I did read someplace that stopping progesterone, especially cold turkey, can cause some spotting. I hope it's an easy explanation like that. I wish they'd warned you about that possibility. Keep us posted!

I am kind of in the same boat. I have had a light bleed since Monday morning and last night it turned heavy. Plus a passed clots so I don't think I am pregnant anymore. I have an appointment at 1:30 today to confirm. Tired of seeing the blood as a reminder.

@KristiSigma Were you able to get in for an U/S? I had some bleeding last week and my OB saw a clot that was the source.. it may not be the worst case scenario you're thinking. Fingers crossed for you, I hope you get good news.

You guys, baby is perfect with a heart rate of 166. Couldn't find a reason for the bleeding. So relieved!

Well my prognosis is not good BUT I am still pregnant. I am measuring well over a week behind so they think I am at 6W 1D. It looks like I am not developing like I should and the HB is very low. OB said he has seen women in my situation go on to have a healthy pregnancy but most do not. They do not see blood around the sac, so they are not sure why I am bleeding. So now I wait but I do have a glimmer of hope.

@kristisigma did they test your blood? Maybe you just need a couple weeks of progesterone supps? Bed rest? Any recommendations? I hope this is a sticky babe for you mama!

@KristiSigma same question as @dmbfan46835. I hope they gave you a plan of action and not just a "wait and see" mentality. Either way, I'm thinking you you and your little one.

@dmbfan46835 They did not give me any recommendations other than to wait and see how it goes. OB said that there was nothing they could do to stop the miscarriage if it is going to happen and there was nothing I could do to stop it if it is going to happen. Said it was most likely a chromosome issue if I miscarry. They did not take any blood. I have heard of women being placed on progesterone but I don't know anything about it. I have another ultrasound scheduled in 2 weeks.

@KristiSigma, try to remain optimistic. You are pregnant today...remember that. I've been on progesterone, but if there's a chromosome problem, it won't help. Prayers that baby hangs in there!
