@Tulips29 I'm sorry to hear about your migraine. Knock on wood I haven't ever had a migraine, but I have noticed I'm getting headaches more. Tylenol definitely seems to be worthless for me. Ice packs + Tylenol seem to work better and I'm glad you are on your feet today.

@WishingforLuck - I saw a perinatal dr about a week ago. I'm not having to go every month but she did say I may need to see her again next trimester. My OB actually uses her office for our ultrasounds so I will see her more regularly anyway. 
@dragonfaerie - such a cute announcement!

I've been buying a few things on sale from places like Target over the last month even though I haven't worn anything yet but this last week I started to pop and my pants are definitely starting to get tight. I went to an actual maternity store and they have fake bumps you can use to try on clothes so you will see how they will fit when you are 7 or 8 months. It was so nice!

dragonfaerie  - I thought so too. I wasn't expecting that but it was such a nice little bonus. It definitely makes sense that they should have those. Super helpful and kind of fun to see what I'll look like at 8 months

@dragonfaerie thanks! I'm not 100% there, but getting close. I also never get migraines, but yesterday was BAD. I hate that we can't take excedrine, that's the only thing that helps me . I keep reading that headaches are super common during pregnancy, so I guess it comes with the territory. 

@Griffin5413 I love that concept, so helpful to shop for maternity clothes!

@Tulips29 Yeah, fun stuff for the prego ladies! I usually would take Naproxen but that's a no no too. I hope you get back to 100% soon!

@Griffin5413 thanks for the info. I'm a little iffy because the perinatologist said we would need to see him once a month to check for proper growth. My train of thought is all that will be checked at the OB's office. I will politely decline any additional unnecessary visits. 
How cool that you got to try on bumps with the clothes. 

@Tulips29 glad you're slowly but surely feeling better!

@tulips29 you might want to talk to your dr. about the migraines.  Sometimes the medical "need" outweighs the risk to pregnancy and if your headaches are bad enough they might give you the go ahead to take something else.

ive taken two percocets while pregnant so far for bad headaches. It's Tylenol with a narcotic and my docs told me it's safe if any pain becomes unbearable. The only risks of it is baby being addicted but obviously you need to take the stuff everyday for a while for that to happen. So once in a while is ok.

@Knottie1432834683 yea I'll mention it next time, but my headaches are not frequent. This one just came out of nowhere and was the worst I've had. 

@Drove2u I agree, once in a while is probably ok. Hopefully your bad headaches won't come back!

Just got results from spina bifida test and all is good thank goodness. 
Go for anatomy scan end of August and next ob appt then too. Soooo far away. Lol

Drove2u - that's great news! I asked my ob yesterday about it and she had me take the blood work before I left the office. She said the anatomy scan would show anything as well but to be certain to do the blood work with it. I have my anatomy scan Aug 4 so it will be good to have both.

Drove2u - the week of Aug 4, I will be 19 weeks and they told me its down between 18-20 weeks.

@griffin5413 my doc told me that too but then when I called the hospital to schedule they said between 20-22 and I guess end of August was earliest they could take me. Oh well. Hopefully it'll go by fast.

Copying this over from 1st tri board...Just got back from my appointment and all's looking well! This babe was super active and jumping all over. Next sonogram is at 20 weeks....eek! Such a long wait!

@tulips29 - love it! Was that your NT Scan? I remember just loving how he was starting to actually look like a baby at that point instead of just a bean. Glad everything is going well!

I have the appointment with the perinatologist and 12 weeks U/S today.  I'm nervous! If it goes well then we are going to start telling family and close friends!

@Griffin5413 yes, the NT scan. I believe you were the one that said the NT scan is so in-depth and you get to see all different angles, which was so cool. It was much longer than any other scan I had before and the baby was flipping over and jumping around. I didn't want it to end!

Hey all. So today my OB said since I'm having twins the harmony test wouldn't reveal genders so I will have to wait until my peri appt at 16 wks. But he did give us a guess as to what he thinks it is. FX, now patiently waiting for week 16. Also it seems like my empty sac is gone. (TMI warning) I figured it would be minimized or gone because I had a lot of spotting(dark blood) and shedding of tissue over the weekend. At least the babies have more room to grow now. One of them is actually head down this week, lol and they were very active today.

Hi everyone  - so 12 week U/S can went well!  Eek!   We also did the NT scan that the others had.  So the U/S took like 20-30 minutes. They were taking shots of his bladder, stomach, head, arms, legs etc.  I actually got a little worried because they had a hard time getting the neck for the NT as baby kept tucking his head so they were telling me to cough and prodding my stomach to get him to move his head (he was moving just not the way they wanted him too) after some time of poking and prodding him through my stomach my mama bear instinct kicked in and I was like "is this really necessary?"  I was worried that the poking and prodding was upsetting him!  LOL, I know its fine but we know he doesn't have down syndrome because we did PGS -- but they said the NT fluid can tell some other things too.  Anyhow, it all worked out, we were able to get a good enough measurement and baby looks really good (measuring 5 days ahead!).  So we are going do a gender reveal cake for DH's parents on Sunday to surprise them! 

We also decided to do the Harmony test to "double check" the PGS results -- its a little pointless really, but insurance covers it and it just a blood draw, so I thought, why not?

Oh! and like others they did not let us video tape it.  I think that policy is so weird.  Why don't they let you do that? Liability reasons maybe?

@Knottie1432834683 - glad everything with the scan went well. I had the same thought at my scan when she was bouncing around trying to get him to move. It's pretty incredible though what our bodies do to protect the baby. I totally agree with you about if insurance covers the tests why not (especially if it's just blood work).

@Knottie1432834683 I'm glad everything worked out and thing went well! I was also planning to take pictures and videos for my husband because he's traveling this week and couldn't come with me. The exam room had signs all over saying absolutely no photos or videos. Bummer!

That is such a bummer about no photo's and video's... we were able to do both but I would not have been surprised if they said no.

Got my blood work results for spinabifida and everything is good. Heading to Pagosa Springs in CO this afternoon for a few days of relaxing with DH and some friends. Although I'm not sure how relaxing 8 hours in the car each way is going to be. lol.

Hi everyone! Any fun plans for the weekend? I'm watching a 2 year old for a friend so she can go away on an anniversary weekend. Wish me luck. Lol. I'm waiting for my appointment at the beginning of August. I had my NT scan a few weeks ago. I was so spoiled by the ultrasounds. I'm not sure when I will get one again. I will be 16 weeks this coming Tuesday. I think the next appointment is just a blood test and meeting with the doc. Have a great weekend!

@Joyzie77 Haha, good luck!! We are planning on going to the Renaisssance Festival tomorrow, but DH was sick today so I'm not sure it will happen. My mom is taking my shopping this evening for maternity clothes.

I'm definitely feeling anxious about getting to my next apt on August 10th. I think I have a u/s that day. At least I hope so!

alexiskirilukGriffin5413 - I think of all you ladies often as well..... quick update (as I feel this thread is not the right place for too much)..... I'm feeling good physically and much better emotionally..... starting with my next period (sometime in Aug) we will start to prep for a 2nd FET, so we are focused on that.

@melD17011 - happy to hear you are feeling better.  Take all the time you need. I still stay in touch with some of my cycle buddies from my first IVF and some of the people on this board were on the boards with me on my second cycle.  So its ok if you want to say involved!

I am with everyone on the "long time" until next US.  I guess we are a little spoiled going through IFs seeing the baby and having having US so often.  I have pictures of my guy as a 5 day blast (so about 2.5 weeks), 6 weeks, 8, weeks, 10 weeks, and 12 weeks!  And now I have to wait until 18 weeks until next U/S and I'm like OMG its so long. LOL.   But I guess it will go by fast and now I'm just trying to enjoy the second trimester.  My nausea is finally getting better! yay!
