Yay!!! Happy Saturday everyone! I'm so excited, today I'm 20 weeks! I can't believe it. Halfway there. I hope it goes by really fast now, I can't wait to hold this LO in my arms.
Congrats on your first random! I just woke up from a very long and realistic dream that really left me with a bad taste in my mouth (figuratively). I know crazy pregnant dreams happen but this didn't seem like a dream it was like just normal life. Well I'm going to shake it off and enjoy my weekend!
So we had family over to find out the sex last night. We bought this matching game (20 boy theme cards and 20 girl theme cards) when we went for our a/s the tech took out 1 card that matched the sex. So when we played the game there was 1 girl card unmatched. Everyone was so into it but the suspense was killing me!
Happy Saturday! I'm at my monthly air reserves UTA...ugh no fun but hey it's extra money in my pocket. I'm 20 weeks today so half way there yayyyy. I hope everyone has a wonderful day.
I'm up early this morning with my sick kiddo. I see coffee in my future. My sister came up with the cutest middle name idea for my lo to honor our grandma. Her name is Shirley, so the middle name will simply be lee or leigh. Not sure yet on the spelling. Now if only we could decide on a first name.
I have been up for an hour and need to go to the grocery store but I have no energy to get up. We are having a walking dead watch party tomorrow so I want to make Halloween type snacks. I'm off to pinterest now.
I also have a 15 month old boy running around this morning with a football and then kicking a soccer ball yelling goooollll. I wish sports started at earlier ages.
I'm working a 6 day week 2 weeks in a row today but at least the boss is buying breakfast and I work with a great team. I'm starting to feel like I'm really showing today. after work I need to buy maternity clothes.
I went to the doctors yesterday and everything (surgery and babies) looks great. I found out that the 6 weeks of disability he put me on was a non negotiable. I seriously think I am going to go crazy. I have four more weeks and my whole social circle where I live is connected to work.
It's a miracle I didn't murder my H this morning. For some reason he cannot grasp how to chew with his freaking mouth closed and I can hear him smacking his food around and it grosses me out. I just kept giving him a death glare but he was clueless.
Plus I slept terribly, had really bad dreams, and I'm overwhelmed with school work, so I'm a super grump today. I don't even have any chocolate to help make it better. Boo.
Hopefully the day gets better, we're taking DD to a Halloween festival and getting her in her ladybug costume so I'm looking forward to that!
I forgot how exhausting working is! I haven't been on my feet that much since taking time off, but just two days of it and I'm ready to just sit on the couch all day! (Perhaps today calls for a Dr. Who marathon?)
@mommyofkaylin I like that idea for a middle name! Oddly, our first dog's name was Ginger and my mom playfully gave her a middle name of Lee (so it was Ginger Lee/gingerly). But as long as you avoid the creation of an adverb in your first name choice (or name your LO after a Gilligan's Island character) it is such a nice tribute.
So I'm not a big cross board lurker. There is so much to catch up on m15 there isn't much time to go outside our board lurking but every once in a while i like to go check on the new babies beg born on this current months board. So i ventured over to N14 and was looking through their birth announcement thread and i came upon a post of a woman who's precious little angel was born at 31 weeks and made it only 2 hours outside the womb oh man i just broke down balling right then and there. My heart really really went out to her. I didn't copy down the user but i just hope she knows that there are so many thoughts and prayers are headed her way. Oh my have a blessed day all of you and maybe give an extra special hug and kiss to those people in your life that mean the most to you. :x :x

And it's the last day of the farmers market and we both agreed we wanted to go and now S won't wake the fuck up. He worked last night so I don't blame him but he grouchy yells at me when I tell him I'm going by myself.
I am getting a new roof put on my house and they showed up at 645 am today. On a Saturday? Ugh. I had no idea they would be here today, the dogs started going nuts and I got up and was like wtf? Guess I'll get up now. I am being serenaded by electric table saws and nail guns, so awesome

After dropping off best friend at work I took the kids to Taco Bell to try their breakfast. I got their crunch wrap that has gravy, eggs, cheese, a hash brown, and a sausage patty in it and wow it was good! Not gonna lie, I want to try their waffle taco...

Good morning ladies! I am trying not to freak out but Dr. Google has me worried. During my anatomy scan a week ago, the ultrasound tech mentioned excess fluid in the kidney of the baby but said they would likely just monitor it. Fine no biggie. Well then last night I get a call from my OB who had just finally reviewed the ultrasound images. She says that the baby's ureter is wider than normal and they are now referring me to MFM for a more in-depth ultrasound. I have been frantically googling this morning the combination of the wide ureter and kidney fluid and am seeing some potentially scary conclusions. Anyone have experience with this? Now I have to wait like a week or longer to get into MFM and the wait is going to suck...

@JennyP0222 step away from doctor google. When is your MFM appointment? I know from experience with friends that if there is an issue, the vast majority of kidney issues are very manageable. Thinking of you, and hope you can get some reassurance soon. I know it's hard not to let the fears take over.

I know, no good can come from googling, I am putting myself on google restriction until after I meet with MFM! I do not have an appointment yet because my doctor sent the referral over to them last night. They are gonna call me sometime next week to schedule, I hope next week they can squeeze me in (for my own sanity) but not sure yet.
Ok, totally sappy random. Warning, it's long. Yesterday was our big kids resale in town, and I bought our first baby clothes purchase for Sam.
Back story, there is a big hot air balloon fiesta in ABQ every fall, and last year it was the weekend before Noah was stillborn. Last year, some must have decided to stay around, because out my hospital room window the whole first day I was induced there were hot air balloons. They were beautiful to watch.
The next time I saw hot air balloons was the anniversary of the day that Noah was conceived, and the day before I got my BFP with Sam. So hot air balloons are sort of my thing for them.
Well, yesterday at the resale, I saw this beautiful new born hot air balloon romper. Another mom was holding it, but when she saw me looking at it, she offered it to me. I nearly cried. So this was my first official purchase for Sam.
@JennyP0222 My son had excessive fluid in his kidneys seen at our a/s. I was referred to a perinatologist for additional u/s and treatment if necessary. I was told most kidney issues are managed or corrected without too much difficulty when known prior to birth, also that higher fluid levels are more common in boys and may resolve on their own. I had an u/s once a month to check on his kidneys, the fluid level came down to normal and he had no additional issues at birth.
Hope the wait goes by quickly for you and MFM is able to give you more specific answers and plan.

K is doing crazy things moving the boat today...seriously, that is as much as in willing to describe...and my mom is coming to hang with E and me later, so yay for massage and then probably a trunk or treat with E and her Mimi!

This time next week, we'll be in New Orleans and I will be eating the sweet shit out of some gluten-free crab cakes. I CANNOT WAIT.
We're also down to 41 days until we head back to Sweden! I bought the last bit of our transportation stuff earlier this week (we buy everything in legs because it's so expensive, so we bought them as flight from Nashville to JFK, flight from JFK to Stockholm, train from Arlanda to Gävle, train from Gävle to Kiruna, flight from Kiruna to Arlanda, train from Arlanda to Stockholm, flight from Stockholm to JFK, flight from LGA to Nashville over the course of like five months). We have our apartment in Stockholm lined up and our cabin in Kiruna reserved. Sweden is like our favorite place ever, and all of the Christmas markets will be in full swing, and we'll get to see the Gävle Goat as long as no one's burned it down yet, so we're mad excited.

K is doing crazy things moving the boat today...seriously, that is as much as in willing to describe...and my mom is coming to hang with E and me later, so yay for massage and then probably a trunk or treat with E and her Mimi!

I have a Massage Envy membership, and it makes it super cheap to have a 90 minute prenatal massage every two weeks. I highly recommend it if that's something available in your area.
