Happy Friday!

I just completed stim night #2 last night! I go for my first u/s and bw on Sunday to see how things are progressing. So far I am feeling "ding" like sensations in both of my ovaries.

QOTD: Hubs and I went on a caribbean cruise in May and it was glorious!

I posted about this yesterday but I had a baseline appt wednesday and my estrogen level was 252 instead of below 50 as expected. So, I will be doing Lupron another 7 days and then checking again. So this is obviously going to push my ER into August because I wouldn't start stims until 7/24 at the earliest.. Do I still get to be a Summer Sparkler???

QOTD: Back in November we went to Thailand for two weeks with my DH's family, and we also stayed with family there. It was a great time but feels like a while ago now and I am dying to get away again. Obviously something much more local since we're sort of strapped financially now!

I am currently 8dp3dt and getting antsy for my beta on Monday!! I'm feeling really hopeful but nervous. Thank goodness I'm off Monday because if it's a BFN, at least I'll be home. And if it's a BFP, I can celebrate!!

QOTW: We are going on vacation to Aruba at the end of August. We figured that we would need a break after all of this IVF stuff either way. I'm excited to just lounge on the beach for a week!

Hi ladies! I am currently on day 4 of stims. I am taking 75 Menopur and 150 Follistim. Last cycle I was on just 150 Follistim but I didn't respond as well as they thought I would, so this is my first time taking Menopur. Is it just me or does the Menopur hurt/sting!!! Maybe it's just me, lol. My next appointment is on Monday.

QOTD: the last time I was out of town was to the Scentsy family reunion last week and it was a blast. The last actual vacation DH and I took together was a year ago in June, we went to the Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City. This upcoming November we are taking a road trip to NYC!!!

AFM- today was my first u/s after 4 days of stims. I have 26 follicles all hovering around 8-9 so they're still tiny. I'm just waiting on my e2 to see if my dosage will stay the same. I'm hoping I get a good e2 and it doesn't crash again .

QOTD- our last vacation was last August. We went to Cancun for our anniversary and it was so nice to get away! We're not taking a big vacation this year, but we're going to universal orlando for a couple days to check out the new HP park.

@Lillovebug79‌ - Beta or bust!?  Good for you girl!!  Hope you have a busy weekend that keeps you NOT thinking about POAS!

@jencity9‌ - When I didn't know how long I would be pushed back, I would be lying if I didn't say I was also sad about possibly not being with you girls!  You can absolutely stay with us!!  We'll be checking in til probably mid-august, so you'll be able to update us!!

jessimi06 - I think you are closest to me in terms of cycle timing!!  I just went in today after 4 days of stim (started day 5 today with ganirelix in the AM, waiting to hear what I'll move to tonight).  My U/S tech says NOTHING, so I'll see what my nurse says when she calls later!

QOTD -- While I was in Nashville just a few weeks ago, that was really a work trip mixed with a little pleasure...my last vaca with DH was in March.  We went to Tampa and stayed with friends for a few days -- went to disney for a day, boating/beach for a day, and to the phillies spring training for a day!  We starting making it a yearly tradition, but I'm hoping I have to say NO next year for good reason

@jencity9 technically summer doesn't end until September, so I say you should definitely stick it out here!!

Very glad to see folks moving up that check in list!

I had check up appt #3 this morning, so far so good. Doc says I have 8 measuring between 11-13mm and that I will very likely be doing my ER next Thursday. He also said that I had a total of 12 follies on my right side, and that quite a few might choose to catch up by next Thursday. I'm so excited to have gotten this far, and that things look like they are progressing at the right pace. No word on my E2 yet, will likely hear back from my nurse this afternoon.

Update: E2 came back at 1276, so they are backing off my dose from 375 back down to 300iu of Bravelle. AND I've got appts on Sat and Sun. Guess I wont be sleeping in.

QOTD: our last vacation was to Las Vegas last year, the week before Christmas 2013. It was actually a really great time to go. Much more quiet, much cooler weather for walking around. It was like fall weather. We loved it so much we said when we go back it has to be in Nov/Dec.

I am now on DAY 7.  Excited, Nervous and very Hopeful!

QOTD:  Kauai, Hawaii in November.    It was Wonderful!  Our favorite place to vacation is Hawaii and I can't wait to go back. We took out a loan for our IVF but intentionally paid for everything first with our AMEX to rack up the free miles.  We now have enough miles to go back at least once more with free air fare  

Depending on this outcome, we may need to use those miles this Fall.

@jszy10‌ woot! My tentative retrieval is for next Saturday, when's yours? At our practice, the REs do the u/s themselves, which is nice because you can get instant feedback/ask questions.

So my e2 came back at 144 after 4 days of stims, is that still low? Last cycle it was 90, so it's an improvement but I thought they said they like to see it around 200?

So I had used my last FRER to see if my trigger was out of my system just in case I decided I wanted to pee on something and not hold out for my beta. It was clearly negative at 6dp3dt. I held out and was strong yesterday and didn't test. Well last night I had a crazy dream and I woke up so confident that I was going to get a BFP that I had to test!! So I went out and bought more FRER and the $.88 walmart cheapos! Today is 8dp3dt and I got a light but very much there second line on both with my 2nd morning urine!! Holy shit this could really be happening!! I cried for about an hour, happy tears of course and then I called DH (who was totally against me testing early.. Sorry DH). We are of course cautiously optimistic and I'll definitely be looking for the lines to get darker before my beta on Monday. I wasn't sure if I wanted to share just yet but I just had to tell someone. I'm just praying so hard that my lines keep getting darker, my beta is good, and this is my sticky baby!!

@lillovebug79  That is SO AWESOME!!!  I hope they keep getting darker as well. 

Nope, my Beta isn't scheduled until the 23rd.  They scheduled a 12 day beta.

So happy for those of you getting BFP and FX for those in the 2WW.

AFM- I am still stimming. Estrogen levels have been going up approximately 300 each time. They have lowered my dose of follistim to prevent overstimulation. Today's bloodwork showed a slight increase but not as much so now I'm at 100 follistim daily instead of 75. Still taking menopur 1 powder and lupron. Have to be at the RE tomorrow morning at 7 ugghh been there early all week. Should know more tomorrow but looks like ER Tuesday or Wednesday!! I have 12-14 follicles in each ovary ranging from 9's to 15. They have always kept me slow and steady which is good. But just want to move to the next step.

QOTD- DH and I haven't vacationed in awhile if you don't count little overnight trips. We need a vacation after all of this work.

@jencity9 - I hope things correct themselves for you quickly.  You're still a Summer Sparkler as far as I'm concerned!

I'm scheduled for ER tomorrow morning at 8 am.  I'm getting nervous, but not for the actual procedure.  Once ER is complete, everything is out of my hands.  I'm terrified that there will not be a good outcome for us.  I really don't have any concrete reason to think this...other than my previous c/p I suppose. 

I have been feeling horrible in the afternoons and evenings for the past few days.  As I'm sitting at my desk at work, I all of a sudden got extremly bloated and it isn't going away.  Up until now I haven't been terribly bloated, and I'm thankful for that.  I will update again tomorrow after my ER. 

QOTD:  Our last vacation was in March and we went to Florida for a week.  We visited many of C's friends and had a great time.  It was snowing something fierce back home, so it was perfectly timed.  We also just went to NYC for a quick weekend trip this past weekend.

jessimi06 -- My tentative is next Saturday too...which stresses me out HARDCORE, but it will be what it will be!

DH is turning the big 4-0 at the end of the month and for months I have been planning a surprise custom tailgate and phillies game for him with 30+ of our family and friends.  I hired a tailgating company that provides entertainment and food, and we have a group of tickets all together for the game.  Plus I ordered him a fancy cake too....

SO, needless to say, I'd like to freakin be there....but I know this is way more important and will do what I have to do!  If the day comes and I can't go, I will be making it clear that he HAS to!!

@denbk‌ Are you planning beta or bust? I'm so nervous nervous about all of this! I bought CBE digitalis to use tomorrow too. I know my RE said not to pee on anything for a reason but I just couldn't help myself. Wednesday will be here before you know it. Thank goodness I work this weekend to keep my mind occupied until Monday! I plan on getting to the lab at 7:30 when they open on Monday (unless my tests turn into a BFN before then)!

@lillovebug79 I actually broke down and tested today with an old test I had.  I knew it would be negative but you know...  That POAS thing is just so appealing.     It was Negative as I knew it would be this early, I just couldn't help myself.   However, now I know that if I do end up testing positive it won't be my trigger shot because it is already out of my system.

I'm thinking that I will test again on Sunday or Monday. 

I have had a good feeling about you all along, I think this is it for you @lillovebug79

This IVF thing is is surely a roller coaster. Went in for my appt today. E2 is rising and I now have a total of 25 follies, but only 10 are maturing(between 13 and 15). So I'll likely be on daily monitoring until ER. What do you do to try to mitigate OHSS? Lots of water? Anything else?

@Sha259 - I have read that people are instructed to eat salty foods and drink Gatorade.  I have been drinking Powerade Zero on and off since I started stimming.

Sha259 -- I've heard of drinking lots of Gatorade too!  Not sure what else is suggested?  Hope you don't have to worry too much about that!!  Count sounds great so far!

Just got the call after being in the RE office again this morning for BW and US. I trigger tonight and ER on Tuesday. Yikkeeeesss this is real!!!! I'm also sooooo scared of DH sticking me with the HCG trigger. I'm glad to be getting the follicles out because my ovaries feel like basketballs ugh!!

I've been laying low because things have been in limbo more or less! Finally got AF today, after 2 months and 10 days of provera. I'll go In Tuesday for monitoring and hopefully get my calendar, as well as start BCP. I'm glad something is finally moving along LOL =D>

That's interesting, because we've always used a novarel trigger and it's always gone in IM in the back of my hip right above my tush. I'm totally jealous as the shot itself doesn't hurt but my tush is always sore the next day.
