NBR: Morning Traffic on 75 Question

I need to be at the Cobb Galleria at 8:45 tomorrow morning.  The only way I know how to get there from my house is to take 575 (from exit 7) to 75 South.  I know that it generally takes me 30-35 minutes to get down there w/o traffic.  Does anyone know how long it will take me with traffic?

    It is really hard to say but that traffic from 575 merging with 75 is usually bad.  To be safe with no rain I would leave around 7:30-7:45.  If it is raining I would give yourself even more time.

    If you would get in trouble for being late or you are going to a job interview, I would give it 90 minutes and grab yourself some breakfast or coffee when you get to the Galleria/Cumberland area.  Depending on weather and/or wrecks that commute can be a nightmare at that time in particular.

    It's actually for a focus group study, so I have to be on time.  I am going to see if there is an alternative route from my house to I-75 to avoid the merge, since I'm hearing that could be the worst part.

    I am so not a morning person, so this should be fun!

    There are a couple of options.  You can come south to Bells Ferry and head over to Barrett.  Make a left onto Barrett (which is Piedmont at that intersection) and follow it down.  It's not the most direct, but I can't stand sitting in traffic either.  I have to be moving!

    Another option could be to head over to 41 and take that down.
