I will try to explain this the best I can.

 Because of the way the headboard and footbaord are curved inwards there are 4 sets of slats that are different sizes than the others- the ones at the 4 corners. They go from normal size to skinny back to normal. We did not notice this until 2 days ago..

my daughter reached her arm through one of these slats to reach for her hamper (she liked the take the clothes out). her arm slid down and got caught in the skinny part. she panicked and threw her self backwards, twisting her arm. THANK GOD she was not hurt, only very scared and has red marks. My father in law was there and so it all happen- he just couldnt get to her fast enough.
