Hi!
I'm new to the board and just wanted to introduce myself as well as see if anyone had any OB recommendations for my area. We just found out yesterday that we are expecting so this is all a bit new at the moment!
We live in metrowest and while Milton Regional and Metrowest Medical are closest (we live between the two), I'm leaning towards delivering at Newton-Wellesley. Any recommendations for an OB with privileges there and has an office on this side of 128? As luck would have it I'm scheduled to see my GYN this Friday, but since she is on the South Shore I doubt she'll have many recommendations for this area.
Thanks so much!!

Re: Hello! And OB recommendations please!
Hi Pam
First let me say. I loved Newton-Wellesley. Best experience. Myself and some of my friends go to About Women by Women in Wellesley right on Rt 9 at the 128 exit. Fabulous. The nurses are amazing. My Dr is Georgia Vasilakis. But I also love, Dr. Tarr and Dr. Margolis. Everyone that I know that goes there, loves the group. I honestly can't say enough. I had twins a year ago, 1/30/09 and I would do it again, just because of how great both About Women was and the hospital.
FYI, stay away from Dr. Stack. She's the only quirky one.
Good luck!
I second that Newton-Wellesley is a wonderful place to deliver!!!!
I also go to About Woman By Woman and Dr. Stack is my OB and I LOVE her!!! I had alot of complications following my delivery and she took great care of me. Dr. Molly Clark delivered by baby and she was also wonderful!!!
I have to say that Dr. Vasalaskis is the one OB I don't like there :-( The two times I met with her I found she has NO bedside manner and makes you feel like a number and not a patient.
Hi!
I go to Newton Wellesley OBGYN which is right in the green building of the NWH complex. I see Dr. Elizabeth Konig. I think she is the sweetest person. There is also a Dr. Elaine Metcalf that is supposed to be great. The overall office is very warm and welcoming and they have the comfiest blood draw chair I have ever sat in! They also do 1 day birthing classes right in the office. I will say that they pretty much never run on time. But this part doesn't bother me so much. HTH and good luck!
