something that you've cooked many times over the past few years.

DH told me last night that he really doesn't like chicken pot pie. I always thought my recipe was very good. It takes forever to make but it's excellent. And it turns out, he thinks it yucky.

I appreciate his honesty, and yet I'm offended. He could have told me this years ago, or maybe he could have kept his mouth shut. Now I feel like I should never make this again.

Grrrr.

Ha ha. Sorry. Nope, DH tells me when he doesn't like something--usually it's a new recipe though. And I do feel like I can't make anything he doesn't like.

I think you should make it tonight. If they don't tell you the first few times they have it then they should stfu... especially when it has been years.

I always warn him that if he doesn't tell me he doesn't like it...I'm likely to make it again. So, he can either speak up or suffer in silence.

He's usually pretty honest, but sometimes I have to drag it out of him - I can sort of tell he doesn't want to insult me.

But what I really hate is when he tells me he doesn't like something (especially a new recipe) that I thought came out really good. Last night I made a chicken and rice dish that I though was really good and even DS ateit and seemed to love it. DH liked the flavor, but didn't like "the texture of the rice". i'm sure it's because I was trying to be a little healthier and used brown rice instead of white. Ugh. Any suggestions on brown rice that has the same texture as white rice?

FWIW- I have a really easy, super-delicious recipe for chicken pot pie! I've made it for lots of other people too and they always seem to love it.

Yes. ? He once told me to never make pot roast again (it was my first time cooking it; i was a college student and it was suppose to be special). ? I have made it since and he recanted his previous statement
