DD stopped swing napping about a month ago and has been doing great. She no longer uses it during the day and is rotated between the exersaucer and floor time (some on tummy and some on back).
Should I retire it at home as well? She's in it right now but it's the first time in a few weeks....
Re: When did you officially retire the swing?
About two months...it stopped swinging fast because he was getting heavier...

I would have loved to use it for relaxation or something, a place to hang out for 10/15mins, but our swing always equalled sleeping and even that stopped at 3mos. It had been sitting there until the Xmas tree needed a home so we packed it up and put it in storage late November. I had tried it once in hopes she'd like to just chill in it but that did not work.
All told, it was probably the least useful item we bought if you think about how expensive it was (papasan starlight) and how many hours of use it recieved (maybe a part of 3 or 4 nights and possibly 10 naps).
Check the weight guidelines.

DD was never really into her swing. She uses it maybe once every couple of weeks now and that's simply when I need to do something (cook dinner/vaccuum, etc.) and she gets unhappy with floor time or doesn't want to be in her bumbo.
