Where do you keep DC coat/jacket

Currently the place is the back of the couch. It would get lost on a hanger in the closet. The cute coat rack is in her room. I would rather keep it downstairs. Oh and shoes also, where do you keep them?

WE have a tree bench as you walk in I have a wicker-like treasure chest sitting on it with DD's hats, mittens, coat, shoes and a few extra pairs of socks. Otherwise they would get swallowed in the mess that is our daughter's domain!

The coat is usually on a chair at our island in the kitchen because we leave out our utility room door off the kitchen. His shoes are in the hall closet.

I keep her jackets on small hangers in her closet. All her shoes are in a basket on the floor of her closet.

We hung a hook on the side wall of our coat closet, and that's where we hang the two coats she wears most often. The rest of her jackets are in her closet upstairs.

I keep her shoes in a shallow basket on one of the shelves in her closet.

That is one thing I love about my house. While I don't have a mud room which would be the best, I do have an extra little closet in the entryway. It is build under the steps for my addition over the garage and I have added hooks where we hang whatever coat we are wearing most at that time (based on the season) and we have room for all 4 of us to have one coat. I also added a ton of shoe racks so all of our shoes are in that closet and we don't wear them in the house. At the top of the stairs is my formal coat closet where the rest of our coats are kept.
