Opinions on shower please...

My sisters are throwing a couples shower for me and DH.

If you were a guest, would you rather go to a shower on a:

***Saturday from 1-3/4pm

***Saturday from 5-7/8pm (the sun will set about 6:15pm) (It might be chilly outside, and if everyone has to be inside it could be crowded.)

***Sunday from 1-3/4pm

It will be a BBQ type shower, serving hamburgers and hotdogs. Alcohol will also be served.

For a couples shower with a BBQ and alcohol, I would say either Sat or Sun, starting at about 4 pm, with dinner around 5ish, then when the sun sets and it gets chilly some folks can head in that want to stick around for a while and the others can take off.

I would rather Saturday 1-3/4. Mine is a saturday 12-4ish and I like the idea so I have sunday to organize some things rather than having to work the next day.

Saturday afternoon from 1-3 or 4. That's when we're having ours and I just went to one like that a few weeks ago.

Some Concerns:

Is it bad to feed people at 1pm rather than at 12 noon?

Would you be put off by going to a shower smack dab in the middle of your Saturday?

Am I wasting too much brain power overthinking this?

DH and I go to church on Sunday as well, but we get out at 11:30am. I am thinking people can go home and change and make it to the shower on time.

No I don't think it's bad to feed people at 1.

I am not usually thrilled about showers taking up the middle of a sat, but I go anyways.

I wouldn't think about it too much. Go with what whoever is throwing it for you thinks... there will always be people who can't make it because of other obligations.

I think Saturday from 1-3/4 as well. That's a totally acceptable time to have lunch and I think that I would expect it to be on a Saturday. I like to relax Sundays.
