Why is it that in all of the pro abortion/anti abortion posts no one ever discusses adoption?? Adoption is an option.? Maybe I just miss these posts.? Who knows!
I agree. I have several friends who can't conceive. One has been waiting for years to adopt a child. She finally had to do an international adoption, and is still waiting for that to finalize. There are plenty of capable and willing parents who want to adopt babies.

No offense, but why force a woman to go through pregnancy, labor and the knowledge that there's a child of theirs out there, Just so someone can have a baby? There are THOUSANDS of children in this country who unfortunately for them aren't perfect infants who rot in our system and never get a home because someone wants a white baby. Ugh.

My friend was willing to take a child - not just an infant - not just a white kid. Our state adoption system is so screwed up, that she couldn't get a child. Her husband is chronically ill. So she was denied. I agree that no one should be forced to carry a baby if they don't want to. That's just wrong. I was only saying that there are plenty of people who want to adopt in general.
Sure, adoption is a wonderful option for those who choose to do that. Not all women do, and that is their choice. What disgusts me about adoption is the cost of it. I have some wonderful friends who can't conceive, but they don't have the $20,000+ to adopt a child. Why are those that are wealthy the only ones who really seem to have this option?

I also don't understand why adopting a child has to be so expensive.? There are so many middle class couples that cannot have children and would like to adopt, but it is so expensive.??
Re: What about adoption?
B/c I'm assuming the woman who choose abortion opted to not adopt out. They go over your options when you go into the clinic.
I'd personally never adopt out a child.

Two angel babies 11/09 and 4/10
Out of curiousity, why would you not adopt out?
