When IS name calling okay?  Is calling someone a baby killer okay?

    No.  Personally, name calling is never okay.  I make it a goal to avoid doing that on these boards.  I've resorted to it only a couple of times when I've been very upset with a post, and I'm always sorry I stooped to it later.  I try to have a higher regard of myself than that.

    Name calling is never okay, in my opinion.? It can be incredibly hurtful.

    No...not at you.  At no one in general really.  I just find it ironic that people seem to pick and choose when it is and isn't okay to call names depending on what the topic is.

    I agree. I don't think name calling is necessary, but many people seem to just jump at the chance to do so.

    It makes me wonder if people are really this short-tempered IRL.

    (not a stab at any one person. just in general) 

    Mom to an almost 4 y/o and an almost 2 y/o. In process of growing our family through adoption.

    ok, thanks for the clarification. i've already been attacked enough times today. i guess it's time to start keeping my opinions to myself and only answering questions about babies...

    I can see how it might seem this way, but speaking for myself it's not intentional. ?It just really stuck out in that post for some reason and I guess I'd had enough. ?

    when is name calling ever constructive? does it really ever make you look like the superior intellect because you can come up with a (sometimes) clever name to call? i think not.
