I'm usually not one to single-out other posters...

But there's a 2nd tri-er expecting twins, and judging from the ticker, she's naming them Harry and Hermione.  I saw her in the "make love to a hanger" post in 1st tri.

PLEASE let her not be serious!  I just paged her on 2nd tri.

    Oh, wow.

    One of my ultrasound techs was pregnant with twins and was naming them Miley and Hannah. ?DH thought she was joking. ?It was a rather uncomfortable appointment. ?

    OMG. That's pretty damn bad. 

    Do you think we could talk the second tri-er into naming them Luke & Leia instead?  I mean... they're actually twins unlike Harry & Hermione. Wink

    Ok I am not kidding when I say this but I had a kid in my class once who was named Oranjello and his twin sister was named Lemonjello.

    Pronounced O-ran-jah-lo  Le-mon-jah-lo

    Like orange and lemon jello

    Her other ticker says that her other daughter's name is "Evil". ?Surely not. Hopefully she just has a very dark sense of humor.

    Oranjello and Lemonjello!!! Were they the outcome of wild night of jello shooters??

    They could be ethnic names...Harry and Hermione are both "common" names in Greek and they could just be naming them after family which is our tradition....just a thought!

    I actually love the name Hermione, and would absolutely have had that on our list of girl names if it weren't for Harry Potter. No way I'm doing it now!

    If that is the case, which I doubt, then she should rethink it anyway, for the sake of her kids.  If I was more in touch with my Italian side and was expecting boy twins, even if they were the names of my two favorite uncles or something, I STILL wouldn't name them Mario and Luigi.

    Wow it must be a cultural thing then... I worked in an inner city school a few years back and there were some other names that were pretty out there too.  I wish I could remember them all!  In my class last year there were a brother and sister named Roam and Journey.  Their other sisters name was Angel.
